  • Re: Beo4 mk1

Thank you Guy. I was stuck at "config" and did not press list to take me to add and remove. I am more familiar with the newer versions. Regards David

  • Re: DVB HD software changes from 0.1.8.9

Thanks for that Ron but no luck with my setup. I would have thought there might be an 'official' fix for this by now. David

  • DVB HD software changes from 0.1.8.9

I have a BV8-40 running the above software. Exiting the text service in link rooms is not easy and if there are any changes to this I would carry out the upgrade. In the main room exit from text is simply to press 'text' but in a link room it is exit>yellow which brings up the menu then red (radio) then exit>yellow>red to bring back TV. Can anyone report an easier way of doing this or recommend a later software version?

  • Re: sky hd box

Malcolm, get them to put "Thompson SkyHD Mk2" in the PUC. That works fine with the 890/895. David (BV8-40)

  • Re: Beo4 command

Yes this works because radio is an audio source. I want to select a video sound source and the standard way of doing this would be to select AV-V.source but for some reason in my setup that command is not switching the audio master to A.AUX. The only way around it is to first select LINK-AV-V.source followed by A.AUX to get the stereo sound. A.AUX switches the link TV into audio mode, hence the need for AV-A.AUX to keep the picture AND the stereo sound. The BL1000 can obviously do the trick. I have

Can anyone tell me how to execute the command AV-A.AUX on a Beo4? With a BL1000 it is easy. AV-shift-radio

  • Re: Beovision 10 with Freeview HD

I had an intermittent fault with the DVB in my BV8 so an engineer replaced it with a T2 under warranty. It did not work at all. The fault was eventually traced to another module but I believe there is a requiremnt to swap several modules for the upgrade not just the DVB tuner. However at £850 I doubt there will be many takers. David

  • Re: Beo4 command

Thanks for the replies. BL1000 to the rescue! Perhaps an AV version of the beo4 would do it. AV list A.AUX

  • Re: MCL Question

Yes that would be simple and I am aware that ML has advantages over the MCL system. My home is wired for MCL because at the time I used datalink products. The system works well (apart from this particular switching problem) so I would certainly not re-wire. There will be a solution! David

  • Re: MCL Question

Stefan many thanks for your thoughts. I will certainly try the link options and the audio/video master options. The powerlink cable is an interesting one because of course the LX did not need the 1611 in the link room. This could be the culprit. The datalink certainly works. V.MEM switches the green light on. I can do everything except Audio to Video stereo sound switching from the Avant. I have to go to another link room (which has an MCL2A) press AV.V.MEM followed by A.AUX. I then return to the
