  • Re: MCL2A sensitivity question

For information this fault has cleared and the system is working normally after being shut down overnight. The cause is a mystery.

  • MCL2A sensitivity question

I have an MCL2A sensor which requires the remote control to be pointed directly at it. Volume adjustment can be tricky as the sensor can 'miss' the command. Can it be assumed that I have a faulty sensor or perhaps the MCL2A control box is not working as it should? I have two other MCL2A's and the remote can be pointed anywhere in the room - normal for a B&O product. Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • DVB HD software update

I notice there are new DVB software updates. Do B&O publish a change log for these or are we owners expected to guess what the improvements are?

  • Re: MCL2A sensitivity question

Thanks for the suggestions. I did clear a little dust from inside the tranciever (but not much) and checked the terminals in the control box. All are OK but it still the same sensitivity wise. It will not tolerate even 10 degrees right or left of the tranciever for some reason. The unit is serial number 195xx both MCL2A and tranciever were bought new in 2008.

Thanks, But there's no information (on the B&O site) stating the changes made for each revision. I could understand them not publishing this information if it was an engineers job, but the customer is expected to carry this out so needs the information to see if its worth bothering with the download/USB stick etc. Mine is still running 0.1.8.9. Should I upgrade? If so why? What are the changes? It seems to work OK except for the 4 seconds or so of blank screen when changing channels that

  • Re: Beo4 mk 1 AV version

In addition to this I find I am unable to even enter commands into the list in a specific order. I want the following sequence: link>a.aux>speaker>stand but the software automatically puts stand and speaker first regardless of which way round they are entered. Very annoying and seemingly no way around this.

  • Beo4 mk 1 AV version

Unlike newer versions there appears to be no ability to organise the 'list' order. No 'move' in the menu. Is this true or is there a hidden menu somewhere?

  • Beo4 Mk1 PCB and screen

I have a faulty Beo4 mk1 (with AV source button) This needs a PCB and screen but is otherwise in excellent condition. If anyone has a working remote (however tired looking) or the above parts please let me know. David

  • Beo4 mk1

I have a question regarding the mk1 or "AV" version of the beo4. How do you selct the command "A.AUX" in the list? Unlike the newer versions there only seem to be choices based on particular B&O TV's and audio systems rather than the ability to list individual commands and arrange them in a particular order.
