  • VGA problem

I am using a PC connected to a BV8-40 using a male to male VGA cable and getting excellent results using 1280x768 (16:10) resolution. For convenience I need to extend the VGA cable by approx 1m, but using either a female to male extension or other cables/couplers, the picture display changes. It is the same format but much smaller and does not fill the screen. Reverting to the original cable all is well. There is obviously some signal information going missing when using the extensions. Do I require

  • AV issue

Recently had a swap round of sources to by BV8-40 to accomodate a PC using the VGA socket. I have an Xbox connected to AV4 and assigned "V.MEM". AV V.MEM does not work but DOES work when I select another source. I previously used AV3 for the Xbox with no problems. Also AV1 AV2 and AV3 all work with their respective sources. Any pointers appreciated

The 'TV' button is used for the BV8's built in DVB-T module if enabled.

  • scart expander for use with BV8-40

I could do with another scart on my TV due to kit I want to use in link rooms. Is there a scart expander I can use with the BV8? I already have an AVX1 but that is an LX/MX product so I don't think I could use it. Thanks for any advice David

Add to that details of all software upgrades available for all products. The decision to upgrade any product, for e.g DVB (consumer) or general software (dealer visit) would be made much easier if B&O provided the details of any improvements to customers rather than shrouding them in mystery.

  • Re: MCL2A sensitivity question

Thank you for the interesting reply. Yes, a power reset did the trick. Its the first time this has happened so testament to the reliability of the MCL system. The tranceivers are normally very sensitive, although I have found the sensor in the Avant to be even more so. By the way I got round the problem of getting stereo sound from video sources to my Avant link TV by first electing the video source then using the command AV>A.AUX. The standard command AV>Video source does not work with the

Yes! Odd goings on in this house recently lots of unexplained broadband router problems also. Maybe the power of the sun at this time of year effects the electronics. The MCL system is generally so reliable and robust. Regards David

  • Re: DVB HD software update

Beovision 8-40 type 9560 build 210. DVB HD (not T2) s/w 0.1.8.9 Channel changes are slow as I said around 4 seconds from command through blank screen to picture reappearing. Source change is slower still approx 5 seconds. For e.g from TV to DTV.
