    I opened up one of the speakers and the magnet of the large speaker was off. Ive trilled to put it back on but I’m not sure....does the copper ring on the cone side fit around the central column of the magnet? ...I can only get the magnet to push the ring forward rather than fit around it. I plugged the speaker back into my Sony unit and I can hear audio through each speaker if I hold each one up to my ear (even with the volume turned up). I checked the Sony’s specs, it outputs 35w +

    Thanks for the response. I've already had a look inside and everything looks very clean - I'll set about testing the components. Am I right in thinking speakers can be tested for resistance?

    Hi, I've recently acquired a pair of Beovox 1200 speakers (with a Beogram 1500 and a Boemaster 1700). I'm trying to test the speakers...I'm fairly new to working with electronics at component level and bought the above (neither of the units work) to learn a bit more about electronics and how to fix things (I'm a qualified sound engineer so I'm no stranger to a soldering iron). I tried to test the speakers by rigging them up to a Sony Micro system that I have - I got audio but
