  • Re: Best Value Vintage Products?

There's no major difference between the 7000 series except slight changes in styling really. The 7700 was the top model and has 2 way communication and a Master Control Panel remote.

Another one bitten by the Beovirus! I would recommend getting a 7000 type music centre, a 7700 if possible. They have a great amp and a good record deck. Pair one up with a decent set of Beovox speakers and you will have a great system. Another underrated product is a Beomaster 1500. Match that with some S45.2s and you'd have a terrific little set up.

  • Re: What is this?

They are wall mounts for the uni phase speakers not any of the panel speakers.

That looks like a teak example and looks great. My favourite is the white version but I might be a bit bias

  • Re: Value Beogram 6000

I've found my 6000 quad system gives me a real dilemma. It sounds ok, nothing special but it looks absolutely incredible. Visitors are left in awe of its beauty and can't believe that it's from the mid 70's. Mine is set up but the amp isn't actually connected to anything! I've got an 80's Bm6000 next to them and the Beogram 6000 is connected to that instead. I would definitely recommend P50's or P45's if you can find some that don't have broken woofers, they

  • Re: BeoSound Ouverture doesnt' work with remote

I expect it's just in the wrong option setting. Just search for changing option settings and you will get the answer on how to change it. I don't have a beo 4 infront of me at the mo and for the life of me can't remember how it's done where as if I had one in my hand it I could do it in 2 seconds!

Well that wasn't very difficult was it! Yes it's a bottle of B&o record cleaner. Your turn Dennis.

  • Festive "Guess the Mystery Item" game.

It's not really festive but how about a good old guess the product game. The rules are simple, you have to guess what the mystery B&O item pictured is. If you are first to get it right you have to post a picture to continue the game. The more obscure the item, angle or close up detail in the photo the better! I'll start it off with this mystery item.

  • Re: Penta display problem.

Yes that's all correct. I now listening to "Life's been Good" by Joe Walsh before I start cleaning them. Life is good when you have free and easy fixes!

  • Re: Penta display problem.

Problem solved! After dismantling the speakers and swapping the amplifiers over I worked out the fault was definitely in on of the amps. First of all this was bad news as I thought it might have been beyond my technical abilities but I opened up the offending amp anyway and discovered this. A nice obvious loose wire which is to do with the displays. I love it when repairs are simple. A quick bit of solder and low and behold, Now all I've got to do is put them back together and give them a clean
