• Beomaster 5 - Music server

Hi, does someone knows what settings are changed on the Beomaster 5 when Music server is activated on the Beosound 5? I have only the BM5 and would like to be able to enable the music server. A lot of settings seems to be stored in the registry. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Bang & Olufsen there are different folders. One of the folders are called Beosound5 and below that you will find folders called MOTS and MediaAgent among others. Under MediaAgent there are a folder called DLNA. Here I

  • Re: My first ML/NL product
After an incredibly long debate with B&O, I have gone with the Beomaster 5, Masterlink gateway (connection to Lutron), some new speakers 12-2's with an 11 - there is also a playmaker in the mix Soni can stream music.
Will you be able to use MOTS with this setup (no Beosound 5)?

  • Re: Beocenter 2300/Beolab2000/Beolink Converter - Internet radio.

The power link connection is used for speakers without master link (Beolab 4000 for example) that you place in same room as the BC2300. The Beolab 2000 can be placed in an other room and still controll the BC over master link (this is not possible with power link).

I have an AUX splitter connected between my BC2300, a Beolink converter and a Sonos system. It works fine to distribute music to link rooms (both CD and music from Sonos) and also controll the BC2300 from link rooms. But the BC2300 cannot be controlled directly by Masterlink Gateway (so there might be some other restrictions also).

  • Re: Beo 6 and Beomaster 5

I don't know if it's interesting, but it's possible to start the BS5 sw from the service menu of BM5 and then you can activate the Media server and try if two way communication works. To start the BS5 sw from the service menu of BM5 you search for and file called BeoSound5.exe. When you dubble click on this file it will crasch the first time but the second time you do it it will launch the Beosound5 display (make sure you have high enough screen resolution so that the whole display is

From my head (away for the weekend): Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Bang & Olufsen/Beosound5/Settings you have two registry records, one for Beomaster5 and one for Beosound5. For me, both where set to four (4). After that I changed the record for Beosound 5 to one (1) it stopped crashing and MOTS started to work. After that you have changed the value you can try to launch the Beosound5.exe from the service menu. If it doesn't crach, restart the Beomaster 5 and launch Beosound5.exe from

  • Beovision 3 will not play audio sources

Hi, I have a BV3 that is setup with v.opt 6. The Videomaster is a Beosystem 1 and the audio master is a Beomaster 5. I can play N.Music from link rooms on Beolab 3500 and Beolab Passives. I can also play N.Music on the Beosystem 1. But the Beovision 3 will not react to any audio sources? I have tried both N.Music and A-N.Mus on the Beo4 both nothing happens? I can control the BV3 from the MLGW so the ML seems to be working. What can be wrong?

  • Re: Beovision 3 will not play audio sources

Hmm, the problem seemed to be a faulty ML cable to an other link room (but no product was connected there). Once a removed the cable from the patch panel the BV3 started to respond to the remote?! Really strange that I could still control the BV3 from MLGW. However, after having removed the faulty cable I still could not control N.Music and N.Radio on BV3 from the MLGW. The problem here was that the "DST" (destination) in the Source section on the MLGW should be set to TV and not Radio

  • Select a numbered position on BS5 from MLGW

Hi, is there a way to select a numbered position for N.Music on the BS5 from MLGW? I can select a colored list by pressing the colored arrows, but how do I select a numbered position? if I press a number on the remote or MLGW app it jumps to that position in the playlist.
