    Yes it is the worst investment, considering the money I paid and the quality I got! I decided to buy the Beosound 35 mainly because of the display. I do not need a display for displaying “Airplay”! Why is Beosound 35 able to display track name and artist name at the integrated display when using Chromecast but not when using AirPlay? In both music streaming protocols the necessary meta data information are available. That are typical amateur errors, OK for low cost products. But from

For a lower purchase price I would also overlook the incredible amount of technical shortcomings of Bang&Olusfen products. Since Bang&Olufsen offers Multiroom systems (not based on Masterlink) there is not one product that Bang&Olufsen offered 11 years of software updates after introducing the product or 5 years of software updates after discontinuing the product. And looking at these 11 or 5 years of Sonos software update support, that is the worst situation. Most Sonos products

  • Beosound 35 - Airplay vs. Chromecast - B&O App

    I switched from Chromecast to Airplay streaming for some reason. Unfortunately I had to realize that the display at my Beosound 35 does NOT show the track and artist name anymore. Instead you see the really valuable information „AirPlay“. Even with the Bang&Olufsen App, this information is not displayed as long as streaming to the Beosound 35. When I stream to my Beosound Core via Airplay, I get at least the track and artist name shown within the B&O app. Unfortunately not the

    Wow, it took me 15 minutes to find the described Airplay functions in the deep deep setup menus. Very well hidden B&O! Is this the Bang&Olufsen user experience to convince new customers to pay more money than for competitor products?     In my view, there is a strong causality between revenue / sales growth and the product quality perception by the customer, indicated by star-rating in Apple App Store. Or is it just a correlation or pure coincidence? It would be interesting how the B&O leadership team interprets these development.

    The version 2.11 is available. It's incredible how well the Bang&Olufsen App management team is setting the right priorities. They managed to change the logo background for the B&O App and the loading spinner. I'm impressed, these are really the most important changes that were necessary to increase the rating of the B&O App and will convince all frustrated users. Great work, just keep it up, that will make Bang&Olufsen really great again!
