• Re: Bang & Olufsen App for MacOS/Win?

Hi Olivier, It could be that the BeoplayRemote.app does not (yet) work properly with BeoPlay-V1 devices. Sorry, I did not check that earlier. Have you been able to remote control the BeoPlay-V1 with the official iOS app when the BeoPlay-V1 and your mobile are connected to the same WiFi network (not hotspot)? I found a discussion in the Home Assistant community about remote controlling a BeoPlay-V1 . There is a user reporting that volume control works from the Home Assistant software, so it should

Hi Olivier, Yes Xcode is quite massive, last time I deleted a version it was going through maybe 300-400.000 files :-) I have made a new release available that does not require Xcode: Download the .dmg-file from Beoplay Remote v0.9 (macOS) This has been built on the Github infrastructure operated by Microsoft but macOS defaults to preventing you from running the app. Please see the link that describes how to open a Mac app from an unidentified developer. Hope this helps! Best regards, Thomas

Yes, that would be great. I wrote a small macOS app as a proof-of-concept to be able to remote control using the play/pause and vol-up/down keys from my mac computers: https://github.com/tlk/beoplay-macos-remote-gui Would much prefer officially supported tools made by B&O, of course.

    Hi Razlaw, I am currently listening to that TuneIn station (s95144) on an M5 with v 1.24.40905. $ export BEOPLAY_NAME="Beoplay M5 i køkkenet" $ beoplay-cli tuneIn s95144 $ beoplay-cli monitor RemoteCore.NotificationBridge.DataConnectionNotification(state: RemoteCore.NotificationSession.ConnectionState.connecting, message: nil) RemoteCore.NotificationBridge.DataConnectionNotification(state: RemoteCore.NotificationSession.ConnectionState.online, message: nil) RemoteCore.Source(id:
New sw available for M5: 1.24.40905 I have installed it and it works just fine. I cannot see any changes so far to functionality or setup menues.
I have also installed version 1.24.40905. It appears to work fine, in general, and I have not experienced any network issues as mentioned by others. I have noticed, however, that connecting to TuneIn stations fails sporadically. Maybe once every 5-10 times. I am not sure if this is related to version 1.24.40905

TWG, you are welcome - happy to receive feedback from you. I believe I could make a similar tool for Windows and other platforms but I am afraid it is unlikely to happen pro bono. best regards, Thomas

Carolpa and mbolo01 thanks for the feedback! I have checked in a small update that may prevent the bug triggered by connecting to the Moment. Tracking the issue in github #26

Hello there :-) I am very happy if this little tool proves useful to other people and it is great to see screenshots and get feedback on what works and what does not. As mbolo01 mentioned I have only tested the app with the M5, so perhaps I should add a disclaimer: using this tool is on your own responsibility - should you believe that your $1mio speakers have caught fire and burned down your castle then please don't come chasing me :-) Jeff, you mentioned a Preferences window. I agree, it would
It’s also quite noticeable for me since I typically only charge my phone once every two days
Okay. I assumed that most people have their phone connected to their local wifi already, and so turning bluetooth on would be an additional drain on the battery.
in my current apartment things are really congested in terms of the sheer number of wireless access points everyone is running (neighbours and all), and while Bluetooth
