• Re: eBay Bargains!

This chap has several 'brand new in box' ML distribution boxes for sale. I've just bought one, and thought others may be interested in the others: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203652298451?hash=item2f6a9f76d3:g:7SgAAOSwM3VhaYgb (EDIT: He originally listed seven - six left if you're quick!)

  • Re: Questions about Beogram 4002 and Beocenter 2300

^ Yes you'll need an RIAA pre-amp (see details here: https://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=18 ). I think Steve at Sounds Heavenly (site sponsor at foot of page) sells one, together with other cables that you may require. You'd connect the Beogram (via the RIAA amp) to the AUX socket, and select using AUX on the front panel. What remote do you have, if any? You won't have any remote control of the turntable; you'd need a more modern Beogram (3500, 4500, 6500 or 7000) to achieve
Where would it connect?
That attaches under the second screw from the right in the STEP 2 photo here: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/4707/42777.aspx You can also see it loose in the STEP 4 photo.
Thanks! I will try this later today.
Just make sure that the connecter is placed between the screwhead and the metal chassis, rather than between the metal chassis and the plastic threaded part.

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 one channel not working

Could be a mute relay problem - have a search of the forum and you will see similar. One indication of this problem is that the speakers will work fine in the speaker 2 sockets, so you could try that.
Hi everyone, If, like me, BeoTime is your favourite B&O product of all time, then you might like this! Basically, BeoTime has a hidden menu which allows you to enable a number of useful extra functions, including:- 1) Masterlink Gateway compatibility 2) Switching on the light instead of/as well as the alarm clock 3) A "Sunrise" facility to gradually increase the light level in the room each morning to simulate surise at any time of the

Thanks for the reply Steve - these old threads are always useful!
I've never tried this with an LC2, so I'm not sure if there are any differences
That's interesting - hopefully there is someone out there that has made it work with an LC2.
In the Alarm Light option, please set this to ON in the middle screen and then set "Sunrise Slow" in the final screen of the Beotime
You have to create first a light scene where the brightness is set to the minimum in the LC2. When the Beotime alarm triggers, it will gradually increase the brightness to the maximum. Since there is no two-way communication between the LC1/LC2 and the Beotime, the Beotime doesn't know the initial brightness setting and just sends the brightness (dimming up) increase command.
Many thanks indeed Jean - that works a treat! EDIT: I have since realised that

  • Re: BeoVision 8-40 - re-enable TV tuners

In the Service Mode, under MONITOR is there a 'Reset to Factory' option? If you are happy to restore any other settings lost, it could be worth a try of this option.
