• Re: Beosound 2300/3000 keyboards removal…

When I bought the repair kit back in 2010 it was about £25 from AVA Services.
CONTROL and LINK indicator might be wrongly mapped, since I cannot test them. Can someone tell me when they are supposed to light up ?
I just checked with my fully working BL5000 (with both BC9500 and 2-way BC2300). (EDIT: Note that my BL5000 is the version that has CONTROL in place of the CLOCK button.) I can't get CONTROL to show up on the display no matter what I try. I think it may only show with a Beovision when using Picture in Picture - see page

Further to my last, I just found a different version of the BL5000 manual that explains the use of the CONTROL button (at page 13 again). See here: https://bangolufsenassistentgohe.blob.core.windows.net/manuals/APPS_AND_ACCESSORIES/BEOLINK_5000/BeoLink5000_UK.pdf I will experiment further with my systems.
Does it shows right after pressing "link"' + source ?
After pressing LINK, the LINK indication shows up as soon as a source button is pressed. The source has to be pressed within about 3 seconds of LINK. If I then press LINK again, the Source indicator (eg SAT) disappears but LINK is still visible. The remote does transmit when LINK is pressed on its own (I checked with a camera).
Does it still shows up even

  • Re: Beocom 1000 fault

Hi and welcome to Beoworld! I would check all your cables in the first instance. It is a while since my BeoCom1000 was used but is there a possibility that the handset is connected to the phone-line connection, and vice versa? Also check your RJ11 cabling - some countries may require a 'crossover' type RJ11 cable. Are you in UK? Also, is there a fresh battery installed? (I recall that these phones have them, but it should only affect phonebook memory etc and not day-to-day operation.)

To check the SW version of your Beo4 remote Press GO and MENU at the same time then press LIST three times. What does it say?
Thanks for that hint
No problem. You do need to find a BL1000 or a newer (min SW3.4) Beo4 to get the PC function. You can find them easily on eBay and probably sell your old Beo4 for a similar amount.

Hi and welcome to Beoworld. Yes definitely worth trying a new battery in the first instance. I usually buy these ones from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002MPYM3W/?coliid=IFKBFFPX8CGP1&colid=3BIFMKN0M7ZWK&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

  • Re: Beocom 6000

It could be that the lead from the splitter to the BT socket is the wrong type. From memory you will need a 'crossover' lead like this one: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Socket-Cable-Modem-Telephone-Straight/dp/B07WK8DHNZ/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=RJ11%2Bto%2BBT%2BModem%2Bcrossover&qid=1626555628&s=electronics&sr=1-8&th=1 I think that the 'straight through' RJ11 leads do not work.
