• Re: Simple Light control with Beo4 in 2019…

+1. I'd like to see a simple/cheap LIGHT system too. I purchased a Lightmanager Pro from jbmedia several years ago in order to use the LIGHT switch on my Beo4s, but sadly they don't make the B&O version any more. I use my Lightmanager daily, but in my current set up it's only line of sight (hence useable) in a single room.

  • Re: Beoline PSTN

Yes, but worth having a read of the FAQ to check the compatibility of the PSTN base that you buy. See here: https://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=74

And (having read your other thread) I would borrow a simple landline and check your connection before thinking about getting new B&O equipment. Either that or call your landline service provider and ask them to check the line.

  • Re: Beolink 1000 Video Terminal

(As above) I think he is talking about the BL1000 predecessor discussed in this thread: https://archivedforum.beoworld.org/forums/p/38215/317414.aspx#317414 There was the V Terminal, A terminal and AV terminal. I think in this situation, if you need MENU, I would look for a second hand BL1000.

  • Re: De-cluttering our B&O: Does it spark joy?
I cannot tell you how much I want to buy a brightly colored BeoCom 2000 or yellow BeoCom 2.
I went through that phase, and even had a little display of 'museum pieces' I have all that (and much more) in boxes now and keep telling my wife that I will 'declutter' one day. Problem is that we keep moving house hence I am never sure what I may 'need' in the next place :)

  • Re: Beolink Wireless - set up

I tried to use one of those junction boxes a while back and found it much too fiddly to connect. I needed to join a couple of ML cables to test something for a fellow forum member, and ended up cobbling the leads together with some crimp terminals - normally used in 12V car electrics. Worked very well!

  • Re: What Are You Working On Now

Just fixed a Beo4 by fitting a new dome foil - good to have a nice positive feel to the buttons now!

Here's a masterlink distribution box (not my listing!): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-Masterlink-ML-Distributor-Perfect-Condition/303046329254?hash=item468ef803a6:g:7L4AAOSwohFcUvse If you are patient you may be able to get one a bit cheaper. I paid £30 for mine on eBay several years back.

  • Re: BeoSound 2300 - Removing rear cover

Apparently the cover won't come off if you have not removed the aerial bracket, or the screw in the centre of the back that would otherwise hold such a bracket if it were fitted.

  • Re: What's with all the mono-only speakers?

I've just purchased a second A2 Active as I am keen to have at least the option of stereo when travelling/outside/in the garage/etc. Often in these environments it's far easier to find the 'sweet spot' for listening rather than in the clutter of home, when I always seem to be moving around and doing other stuff. Also, I do appreciate good stereo separation in the car - where let's face it, a significant proportion of many people's listening takes place.
