  • Re: Specification of your NAS server and network

Hello, I use a Synology DS212j, Nothing to report, works like a charm with the BS5 Encore and my macbook pro. Easy to setup, and a few 3rd party software packages developped, and easy to install. If you plan to use twonky media server, forget it, access to root files is difficult, not impossible, but need strong IT knowledge.

  • Re: mute speaker 1 or speaker 2 on BM 7000

Thanks, but Is there a possibility to mute either speaker 1 or speaker 2 ? Depending ln the situation, I want music in the kitchen and not in children playroom, or the other way round, not in the kitchen but in the playroom ?

  • Re: Beolabs are not "singing" together anymore

I asked B&O service and they answer me the following : "We are pleased to see that you own a BeoVision 7-40, BeoLab 4000 and BeoLab 11. We will advise you to connect them as front left & right, not center." For the moment, I cannot chose within speaker mode, simply because they are not active Try to select speaker mode with just a center speaker, it will not work. I am waiting my dealer to come back and try this option, I will let you know, Thanks for your comments Eric

  • Re: Beolabs are not "singing" together anymore

Thanks Stefan, I visited my dealer last saturday, and he told me that without center speaker, it was the normal setup. By defining the beolabs as center with option "pair" it recognise it like lef and right. Effectively, I have no stereo problems, but i need to play constently with volume when watching movies. Sound is crystal clear for dialogs, too loud for special effects, very boring. Before I ask my dealer to come back ( he is ok for it, no probs) Does one of you guys have a similar

Thanks for your effort, I have the manuals, and I red them carefully, but did not find usual info. the speaker options descibed are not responding. Here are some pictures of the setup General view of installation sound menu setup I suppose the BL4000 are connected to the "center" powerlink socket, and the BL11 to the "sub" powerlink socket. The beovision is also connected to the BM7000 via masterlink, and the Encore is connected to the BM7000. When Listening to music, both BM7000

I follow the thread you mentionned since the problem is common. My dealer told me that the speaker option was not active and default to option 1 with BL11 always active. BL4000 are playing the role of a center speaker (they are connected together, and one is connected to the "center" powerlink socket of the beovision). I would have imagine a setup without center speaker, but a left, a right and a subwoofer. I will try to discuss this last option with my dealer tomorrow. I have a better

  • Beolabs are not "singing" together anymore

Hi Guys, I just have my new setup up and running from a few days. A new Beovision 7-40, connected to a pair of BL4000 and a BL11. The BS5 Encore is connected to a BM7000 and this latest on the TV, via the classic ML/MCL converter box. Watching TV is a real pleasure, but When listening to music coming from the Encore, It is like the BL4000 and the BL11 where not playing together anymore. I Loose the harmony I had before when the BL4000 where connected directy to the BL11, and the BL11 to the BM7000
