  • Bowers & Wilkins sells out

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-05-03/speaker-maker-bowers-wilkins-sells-out-to-a-tiny-silicon-valley-startup Wow. Interesting when you compare this story to the recent one between B&O and Sparkle Roll from China. VANTAGE

Don't worry too much (unless it is really a space problem and you can't fit a larger screen in your room?): my experience is that each time I have gone for the bigger screen size, whether for my BV7 55", my iMac 27" or my iPhone 6 Plus, not only have I never regretted it, but I have afterwards always looked at the smaller screen sizes, being grateful that I chose the larger one. You get used to - and fond of - the bigger screen sizes, that is really my experience. VANTAGE

Actually, what I am looking for for headphones (especially as I travel a lot) is: - Active noise-cancellation (no background noise during flights); - With wire (for maximum quality for my FLAC files, no BT and no drop-outs) - when sitting in a plane, the wire does not bother me; and especially - over-ear type (on-ear models are usually tiring after a couple of hours, plus they get too warm for comfort). In effect, what I would like is model H6 with ANC. Sadly (and surprisingly, at least for me),

Actually, when I listened to this track on the Beolab 90s (at B&O Strøget in Copenhagen), the loudspeakers had only recently been released. The B&O guy apologized, as he was waiting for a software update, which meant that he could only demonstrate the loudspeakers with Deezer. So I listened to this song via Deezer, but maybe it isn't available there anymore. I have it on CD now anyway... [quote user="Millemissen"] Another small hijack: The No Sanctuary track (or the album

Hi Steve, I am getting curious now... I also listened to "No Sanctuary Here" by Chris Jones when I demo'ed the Beolab 90, and the quality really blew me away. It is one of the best recordings I have ever listened to, great dynamic range, great detail, etc. It goes to show that regardless of the type of music you listen to, whether it is MP3 or Hi-Res, what will always make the difference is the quality of the recording in the first place. You mention that it is one of the BL 90 test

  • Re: Strange functioning of the MOTS

Hi, I don't think this has ever been confirmed by B&O, I can only say that I have never experienced it otherwise: I know exactly which of my files are in high resolution, for example my Beatles collection purchased on USB-stick, and which are not (regular CDs that I have ripped). I experimented with MP3 at one stage, and it was the same, MOTS always stays "within the same category" (I have deleted these files since then, since BL5s don't like MP3, and so it should be ;-) As
