• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

I must admit I'm warming to the white version. Love the idea of being able to swap out the colour under the speaker fret and I've always been someone who wants a B&O white TV (but has never pulled the trigger - nearly bought a white BV8, but glad I didn't after seeing an ex-demo white BV8 at my dealer). Sad as it sounds, B&O always get me on devices which enable me to swap out the colour. Always acts as a talking point. People notice my BV10-46 with orange fret than any other
I disagree Moxxey, £450 seems like a magic number to me.
There are lot of 20 somethings working for my publishing company and I can assure you most of them think £499 is a huge amount of money to spend on an iPad....never mind some speakers to simply enhance the sound. I guess, Phoenix Shaw, you have more disposable income than most 20 somethings :) Indeed, most of them pay £500 for a TV these days. Sadly I just do not believe there

  • Re: Beoplay A8

Interesting how the new A8 photos show the device without a connected iPhone or iPad. Has anyone noticed any changes apart from the addition of AirPlay/Bluetooth (and removable dock)? Also....the new A8 is going to be about £1000. On the BeoPlay store they are advertising the current Beosound 8 for £749. That's not wise on the part of B&O - someone might read the specs of the A8 and then get a Beosound 8 and wonder how they can use AirPlay!
maybe a silly question, but what is this A3 for? Is it a loudspeaker? if yes, for which group of people...
Well, according to a friend in the tech industry, he now uses his iPad 3 for viewing TV, iPlayer content and similar material, away from the family. He can enjoy the delights of his own content, whilst the kids are hogging the TV. He has a point. Although he probably wouldn't justify spending more on the A3 than his iPad 3, I guess he's B&O
From some of the whinging here, I wonder sometimes...
Get a grip :) Seriously. People are allowed an opinion, positive or negative. I never understand how some users can't stand or cope with negative comments. Not everyone likes everything B&O produces. We're not machines. Also, as we know, people change their mind after seeing the products in person.
Is it not released today?
True. I got the dates mixed up - it's May 2nd already. So, yes, today! I think my dealer's event is tomorrow though. They didn't have their V1 yesterday, when I checked.
I HOPE THIS TV HAS THE ELECTRIC CURTAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF IT HAS, THEN IT'S PERFECT :)
Never seen you so excited Paul. Does this mean.....you might buy some B&O kit? :) I'm still indifferent on the V1. Can't see the appeal, but it doesn't disappoint either. Hopefully I'll see it at my dealers tomorrow. B&O kit always looks better in the flesh.

  • Re: BV10 46 and apple tv3 1080p
You know they should really develop the ability for the PUCs to be downloaded and updated by owners and not have to book and pay for a home visit. It's a royal pain!
And they get it wrong (in my case) and end up having to visit twice, which costs the dealer time and money. In total, I've had an engineer three times since I received the BV10-46. Twice for PUC issues, once as the link room TV was putting the Sky box in to standby mode (a separate issue
You are right, i telephoned the dealer and he said that in DK, NO new BV10 is preconfigured with PUC units. And therefor they have to come by and configure all the devices i want to control.
Yeah, that's a recent change. My BV10-46, which was delivered end of December, also shipped with no PUCs installed. The installer adds the PUCs required for the customer (most likely to reduce options or to stop the customer from selecting the wrong PUC). My first

V1 hands-on from FlatPlanels HD: http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1336045432 " The speakers are obviously inferior to B&O’s BeoLab speakers but the speakers are surprisingly good for a TV this thin. The speakers can easily deliver background music for a small party."
