Thanks elephant. The Avant is placed in the TV room ("TV-stue") where a flat screen is indicated (It´s real flat, isn´t it?) followed by a pair of BL6000. For the kitchen ("Kjøkken") a Bl3500 is recently brought home. I have also bought 100 m ML cable... For the living room ("Stue") I have not yet decided what to do (only that it will be without a TV). From the picture below you se the Overture with the BL2500 connected on the bench. At the moment

  • How future proof is BS5/BM5

Yes, how future proof is the BS5/BM5 package? Is it worth considering for purchase today? (yes, I know I am a little bit slow since I just brought home a second hand BS9000...) The reason for asking is: It is a Windows XP based concept where HW and SW support sooner or later will stop, both for the machine itself and for the streaming services. What are your thoughts?

  • Re: Two Audio sources in a ML setup

Seems like I finally found my own answer: At least for Overture, it can be placed in a link room and play both its own sources and the sources from the Audio master. See http://www.manualslib.com/manual/213552/Bang-And-Olufsen-Beosound-Ouverture.html?page=42#manual. Is this possible also for BS 9000? Anyone knows where it is possible to get Overture sw 2.1? My dealer cannot help me on that. Best regards

Neither respond to option 5 or 6 programming. As far as I can read from this forum slave possibility was introduced on sw 3.4 and 2.1, respectively.
This is the correct answer, looked it up just to double check. I thought the Ouverture worked from 1.4 in OPT5? These updates didn't happen until 2005/6.
Thanks, but the question is mainly what benefits and possibilities I would gain by adding a BeoSound as a slave

  • Two Audio sources in a ML setup

Hello I have both a BS 9000 (MKIII sw 3.3) and a BS Overture (sw 1.2). After purchasing the 9000 I still miss my old Overture and are looking for a possibility to have both in the same ML network. However, due to the old sw, none of these can run as slave (option 5 or 6). Is it worth upgrading the sw on one of them, i.e. what benefits can I expect in operation? I assume the Audio master sources can be played in the link room, but can the Audio slave sources be played in the master room and other

  • Flash your B&O - new thread!
What an iconic product Stones ! B&O at its best.
Yes! Ever since a BS9000 replaced my Overture some years ago I have been missing the easy operation of my good old friend. Therefore I was happy to find a new every day use for it By the way: Here is the BS9000 with the BL6000. Seen from the same position as the Overture only turned 90 degrees left.

Hi Today my good old BeoSound Overture found new use as connected to my Yamaha B3 piano having silent system. That is the aux of the Overture connected to the aux of the mini jack out on the digital piano letting me use the BL2500 as speakers. Nice for playing recordings from the pianos memory. I guess I could also have a complete silent play along with the CD in the head phones if I also connected to the pianos mini jack aux input. Does a 7 pin DIN to twice mini jack cable exist? Happy new year

  • "Beolize" my house

Hi All, Time for an update:) The living room (stue) has got the BS9000 with the BL6000: These can also be seen from the kitchen where the BL3500plays: Next to the kitchen is the TV room with the BV Avant 32 RF and the BL4000. The Avant got smart recently: I the living room is also a BS Overture with BL2500 acting as speakers for the electronic part of the piano (do you see the Beo5 for the BS9000?) One sleeping room has even got a BL2000:

  • Two STBs on Avant 32

Hi I would like to control two set top boxes on my Avant 32 RF DVD. It is possible via SAT and V.AUX. But on my Beo4 V.AUX can only be reached via LIST. That's a pitty when TV and V.TAPE buttons are unused. Is there a possibility to control to STBs directly via the primary source buttons? S
