• Re: Masterlink Troubleshooting

Masterlink issues can often be solved by unplugging every connected unit / ML Speaker (including the active box in the wall cavity and the passive amp in ensuite.) from the mains. Plug BS9000 back in first then the other units. Failing that, it might be the cut and rejoin is not pefect! Stoobie
Hi I think it would be great with one post where we can share our "BeoHacks"... - Upgrading panels in old Beovision TV's I would love to see all your creative solutions...
I will be trying Ravsted's solution of upgrading the screen on a Beovision 5. I have a break in October so will be doing it then. I will report back with photos. We have bought a 43 inch TV as it is almost impossible to find 42 inch as he used. Stoobie

  • Re: Passive

I think you should be using a Masterlink cable and not Powerlink with the Passive. See bottom if this page in the manual. Manual Stoobie

  • Re: Beovision 5-42 upgrade/replace screen
Hi, The BV eye (top right corner) has a cable running to the BV5 main board. You just solder two wires to the eye and the Lintronic will 'listen' to the commands received by the eye.
Hi Ravsted, I am getting together all the components to help a friend replace his screen. I have bought the Lintronic Box, 43inch TV and most of the cables. At the moment I am looking for a the B&O IR eye but see you managed to get the BV5 eye to connect to the Lintronic

  • Re: Beovision 5-42 upgrade/replace screen
Please provide feedback regarding using a 43" TV rather than 42". I have promised a friend (who already got the BV5) to replace the panel in his TV. It's a lot easier to find a new 43" TV these days.
I will do. We bought the TV yesterday. I won't be actually working on it until mid October. Thank you for the description of the wiring. I won't need to buy the IR eye. Stoobie

  • Re: Configuration Tool CT6.84 Not Recognizing Beo6 in the Docking Station.

Had a further thought on this, I use ORACLE VirtualBox on my Windows 10 PC running Windows XP and that works perfectly. It is a free download and says it runs on Apple Mac. It may be worth a try. Link here Stoobie

  • Re: Beolink wireless with BL3500 MK1 and Beolab 6000? possible?

If you are using it with PowerLink you will need an IR Reciver connected. The BL3500 has this built in hence controls work. So if you do get another of your Wireless 1s connected, you will need the IR eye. Stoobie

  • Re: BeoLab 150/200 under BeoVox Penta
BTW, still loving the Avantime…
The setup worked really well for years. I sold my BV5 to a friend a couple of years back and over the next month I am going to swap out the screen for a 4k QLED screen for him. If he can persuade his wife that she will love the Pentas, he will want those too, so I'll connecting it back up with the Beolink Passive hopefully. We have had the Avantime since “new”. It was a Renault ex demo car and
