• Re: Beolab 50 speakers seem dead on arrival
Every purchase is a different circumstance. When I purchased my Beosound 3000 the dealer offered to drive three hours each way just to connect one masterlink cable to my Avant. When I bought my 50s they were shipped to my home and I set them up myself. Sometimes a customer wants things set up by a dealer. Sometimes the customer might want to set up a product themselves. I am much more familiar with the 50s having set them up myself, than I would have been if a technician

  • Re: NAS music missing on Moment/Twonky

Hi STU, Yes, quite a bit of splash to get where I want and one can argue of the route/effectiveness. I think GM used the series 1 Auralic Aries (no longer made/had compatibility issues - along with the Auralic Mini with its firmware and the BL90) 1. The Melco N1H2/60 Hard drive. – called a music server, but the interface is rubbish. Great if you want to use it as a DNLA Server but I found you could not pair it well with the BL90s directly and have a decent level of control. However, works brilliantly

STU, I’m jumping in here with a few presumptions. I seem to have had a lifetime myself of trying to get digital media to do what I want in terms of filing and archiving and what I see on the screen – whether that is B&O equipment like the BS5, Avant 55, Eclipse 65 screen via DNLA, or now on an iPad with the Auralic streaming media, the Auralic DAC itself or the Essence with the B&O app. Similarly, I have had countless problems with NAS, gaining access, passwords and the integration

  • Re: Is Bang and Olufsen in trouble?

10% on 20 cents…. B&O’s problems are all self-inflicted and amplified by what is known as the “Intellectual Yet Idiot” (IYI) Political Class at B&O:- 1. It kept making products the same way for years past its sell-by date. 2. It failed to change with the times quickly enough and kept its old irrelevant ways. 3. Manufacturing process may have been up there but the IYIs failed spectacularly to understand the morphing nature of the beast. 4. The Political class has hung

Too late for me now.....but an integrated peerless source for the Beolab90’s 10%

  • Re: End of an Era :(
It's nothing to do with Brexit. B&O and their retailers have had their heads buried in the sand (or up their ars.s) for years. Their offerings have become more and more extreme in terms of aesthetics and price, the public are no longer taken in by them. Someone should put them out of their misery!
Agree. • Re: BeoLab 5 Upper Woofer No Sound -- Anyone heard of this?

I assume you are referring to my old posts? if so, I think it was £180 with the home service. Don’t hold me to that...it was a while back

  • Re: BBC & TuneIn dispute

I personally think my life is a lot better without State propaganda. Don’t miss it at all in any format or any channel. A lot better content out there FOC or as commercial. My view is the BBC is being very greedy; it has coined programming from UK licence holders since its start. It is seeking to maintain and increase that unique subscription method (under pain of fine/imprisonment for non-compliance) while at the same time, increase control (via digital platforms) and re-subscribe for what

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen announces preliminary financial results for the third quarter
That explains why they won’t chip in and help pay for my avant 55 to get fixed. It is slightly out of warranty and they will not help
Not sure if you/your tv are UK based but take (threat) the Supplier to small claims. You have purchased a high end premium product and one can reasonably expect that this class of product would be fit for purpose for a period greater than implied by the original warranty. Im a little out of touch but check your consumer
