• Re: BOTF | Ford Mustang Mach-E | Bang & Olufsen

Meanwhile, I saw a Ford Bronco Sport review that trashed the "B&O" sound system. Then again, the reviewer has a Volvo XC90 as his daily driver and the B&W system in that vehicle is absolutely amazing so most systems sound like trash relative to that one.

  • Re: Beolab 1 black - is it worth it without Beolab 2?

I too enjoy my BL1s without a BS2. Actually, I moved the BS2 to the Eclipse because I thought it added more there. Maybe add a BS2 later as it does improve the 1s, but, to my ears and listening habits, it is somewhat subtle. Not night and day like with the 8000s. This could just be an artifact of words being ill suited for describing sounds, but I've never heard the BS1s described as "dull". Usually, people complain about them being too "sharp". It's possible they could

  • Re: Beosound Stage vs Beolab 18

If you are used to having a dedicated center channel, you might be disappointed going to 2 channels, regardless of how good the speakers are. I used to run a non-B&O Tv with 2 bl4000s, and while they were a huge improvement over the Tv's stock speakers, dialogue could get lost at times. I much prefer the 3 channel output of my Eclipse sound center. I realize that this isn't exactly a fair comparison, but with 90% movies, you may find stereo a step backwards.
And yes, you can easily Join in etc.
How do you "join" when the Mozart products don't support NetworkLink? Doesn't "join" mean play what is playing in another room via NL?

  • Re: What is Bang & Olufsen Radio?

I tried a Level for a week, and the Radio was pretty much the same as the N.Radio on the BS5. As there are hundreds (if not thousands) of radio stations, I didn't check them all, but every one I checked was available on both devices.

  • Re: Alarm clock function with B&O multi-room speakers?

I used to use the timer function on my Essence mk2 to wake me up to TuneIn... until one morning my internet was down, and, luckily, the quiet "pop" that my speakers make when the Essence turns on woke me up. It could have been disastrous as I generally only use my alarm to wake up when I need to travel, and not waking up on time means missing a flight and then a meeting (back in the "before times" when we physically traveled to meetings) and then my job (if this happened too frequently

  • Re: Beosound Emerge

About TuneIn. I could not find any TuneIn station not supported by B&O Radio. I checked about 25, even though I listen to, at most, 10. I also found stations on B&O Radio not on TuneIn. As mentioned above, you can still get TuneIn with GVA. That being said, I do have problems with certain TuneIn stations that GVA can't find. For example, when I ask for "Radio Paradise Rock Mix", it plays either Radio Paradise or Paradise Rock. When I ask for all different permutation of WLIR

  • Re: Beosound Emerge

According to the US website, it's not expected until October 2021... maybe just in time for the NL support I think this is decent effort (assuming it sounds good). It is unlike any other speaker I've seen. Besides, according to a review I read somewhere the "traffic cone" form factor is played out. Everybody and their little brother has one (Apple, Bose, B&O, chinese knockoffs). The Level is a cutting board. The Emerge is a wooden book. Not everyone wants a speaker that says

  • Re: Beosound Level: Differences Google vs non-Google?

While I don't know for sure, to me, all the data points to stereo pairing not requiring GVA. First, the referenced article makes no mention of GVA vs. non-GVA which would point to it not mattering (yes, this is not conclusive, but read on). Secondly, neokaplanis (who seems to be involved in product development at B&O) says " Cast is a part of GVA that can run as standalone". To me, this sounds like Chromecast works regardless of GVA vs non-GVA. That is, both versions of the Level

  • Re: Change your Password if it is less than 8 Characters -- (ANNOUNCEMENT)

I'm sorry Keith, maybe I'm blind, but I'm not seeing where I change my password at the portal link you provided. When I log in, I can only edit my personal information which doesn't include my password. Is this because I'm not silver or gold? I was going to private message you, but maybe others will have this same problem. EDIT: NEVER MIND: I need to enter my email to reset my password. Doh! Leaving this here in case other are slow (like me).
