• Re: Is the Moment a sensible buy?
I would have thought it would be a level playing field between the digital out of the Core versus digital over WISA between Moment and a Beolab. Why would there be a difference if exactly the same track at the same bit depth and sampling rate were fed to the same Beolab...?
If I'm reading all this correctly, I believe there are known sound differences between the Core and Moment's PowerLink. That is, the Moment has superior PL output to the Core
The pics:
According to the what hifi article: "B&O ... has bestowed upon the Beovision Harmony a speaker array featuring a one-inch tweeter, two 2.5-inch full-range drivers, a four-inch midrange/woofer and another pair of four-inch bass drivers." So there's a pair of 4'' bass drivers that are not shown. Possibly this picture is an early proto-type without all the drivers, or they're rear-facing somewhere...

It only took 3 or 4 times for my wife to stop asking if I was going to look up our friends since I'll

  • Re: Any one have a store they particularly like?

Thanks for the tips. I don't plan to buy anything big in the near to mid-term future. I have some B&O in practically every room, and bought an Eclipse last year (when my local dealer was still selling B&O, and the local service center had not closed). After having had a B&O store less than 15 minutes away for 20 years, it's hard adjusting to not having someone I can just call, and they know me. I was leaning toward Cincinnati, but then "my guy" said Boston. I'm really

  • Any one have a store they particularly like?

I have a few B&O purchases I'm considering. Nothing major right now, but few small things that are not available on-line, like a Core and Beo remote, maybe a m3. My local Chicago area dealer closed so I'm in search of a new dealer. Boston was recommended to me by an associate at the old store, but I didn't ask why and he never explained. Their on-line reviews are not great (not that this matters too much). All the US stores are hundreds or thousands of miles away so location doesn't
+1 for the Boston store. I have nothing but good experiences with them.
Are you in the Boston area, or have you dealt with them remotely?

Now, maybe you guys can begin to appreciate the true value provided by the Eclipse - which has 6 speakers in the sound center for far less $$$...
This sentence: Bang & Olufsen unveiled the BeoVision Eclipse in 2017 in a partnership with LG Electronics Inc. However, as Techradar.com points out, LG sells TVs with similar technology that can be combined with equivalent audio systems for a lower price. Could anyone show me the same setup for a lower price? When I bought I looked a lot after alternatives, but could not find any?
This has always been the criticism of B&O, not just the TVs, but

  • Re: Essence 2nd gen - new sw 1.20?

Both my Essence v2 and BS2 v1 updated to 1.20.xxx early this morning (Apr-1). I cannot find any release notes nor any new functionality. I also noticed that B&O has dropped the "support" area from their website (where you could sometimes find this information). With respect some recent posts on this forum, I guess it's better to take the support area down, than to leave it up and give people false hope.

  • Re: Beosound 5 music copy

If you have BeoConnect software ( https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/product-support/accessories/beoconnect-for-windows ), you can link from your computer to the BM5. You just connect to the BM5 as a computer over a network and file copy your music directories. If you have Windows 10, please see this thread: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/18245.aspx If you have a Mac, you can get Beoconnect here: https://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/product-support/accessories/beoconnect-for-mac Alternatively, you can
