• Re: Home Theatre with Eclipse Sound Center?

Is that even a likely scenario, that someone would buy an Eclipse and scrap the screen of some reason?
Nevertheless, it is now listed separately in the official price list,- let the guessing game begin! Fairly cheap actually...
It's always been listed like this, but you cannot buy the sound center without the screen. No guessing required.

  • Re: Howdy folks!!b

Nice story. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I fire up my BL4000s - I don't use them much and sometimes forget what nice, well rounded speaker they are. They are the best bang for the buck. "yinz" - must be from western Pennsylvania? Not sure if the mostly non-US audience is going to understand that one. Take care.

  • Re: Essence wireless system - setup problems again and again !

I'm with MM on this one. It sounds like it has lost / forgotten it's wifi configuration, and needs to be reconfigured. If the app is not recognizing the Essence, I wonder if you can still talk to it via web? Wasn't there an HTTP URL one could use to talk to the Essence? Or am I getting it confused with the NL/ML converter. If you can't get wifi to work, then it would seem like the power line ethernet (turns your electrical wires into ethernet cables) would be an option (as suggested

At least with the Playmaker, you got a "classic" B&O design Assuming smoke detectors are your ideal...

  • Re: Has the Beosound 35 been discontinued?
What did you think of the sound of the 35 compared with the 3500?
I have a 3500 and have listened to a 35 in the store a few times. The 35 is definitely an improvement to my ears. A bit "livelier" with "punchier" bass (I always thought the 3500 was quite "laid back"), but, to me, not worth the cost of upgrade... especially since I still have a ML system so I would be gaining (integrated streaming) as well as losing features (CD, radio

  • Re: POLL : Buying New or Buying Used?

I'm in the US, there's not really an after-market for B&O, except e-bay which is fraught with peril (unknown quality, massive shipping charges). After I bought my first system new (BL9000 + BL8000), pretty much everything else was "open box" from the dealer. I determined that "new" wasn't necessary because of the robust build quality and slow product cycles, but buying "used" in the US is more hassle and risk than I care to take on. I did buy some used

  • Re: Beoplay A1 disconnecting, turning itself on and off

It does have a 15 minute "battery saver". That is, if it sits for 15 minutes with no sound, then it will turn itself off (even if it is plugged in). This isn't random, but it could appear random if you don't know about it. My A1 will turn itself off sometimes when I playing via AUX in. I haven't seen your other problems. Any chance you can return it to the dealer? Stan

  • Re: De-cluttering our B&O: Does it spark joy?

I have a pair of 8000s and 4000s gathering dust right now. I also have kids who are close to moving out so maybe they'll take a set with them. I have 4 beolink wirelesses that I'm afraid to sell because I don't want to pass along the frustration they've caused me. Not that I've ever had much luck selling things anyway... A broken BeoPort. A broken BS2 (mp3 player). What's with holding on to this broken stuff? Assorted Beolink connectors No joy being sparked here.

  • Re: Beosound Edge Needs Google Account…

I have 2 guesses as to what might be happening here: 1) Designing software for every edge case (no pun intended ) can be expensive. If designers felt that most users would be using google, why spend the time and money for the app to support non-google users? Easier (less time and money) to build software with one path (enter google id) vs. 2 (if you have a google id, enter it), plus all the downstream side-effects of having google vs. non-google users. 2) Google has "heavy handed" licensing
