• Re: B&O PLAY will soon launch a new premium product
Simple Opman, these are BANG&OLUFSEN prices aimed for the rich and 5-10 times higher priced than hifi brands. Sometimes I really think they price their products as a joke to test which fool will pay for them. Normally I like B&O for their design as I find them under performing but recently their designs under perform too. I'm sure that Tue will do a wonderful sales job next year launching the new BeoTurd to its followers!
Maybe Bang & Olufsen
A beautiful object.
I think out of all the opinions expressed today, this probably covers everything. The A9 will have appeal beyond the younger digital crowd. More likely you will see this in design magazines and in the homes of people who like design. It is almost avant-garde. For most of us in this forum, this is a love or hate item. I really think this is a winner and I hope it is a financial success. I haven't decided if I like it. I will have
I think they are being completely realistic - make money by making products which utilise the B&O brand to sell at a good profit but also carry on with the iconic and excellent range which maintains the brand name. So by all means, sell car hi-fi and iPod docks, but also make the Beolab 5s and Geoff's new monster speakers which are highly thought of and which generate plaudits for the brand. At present spending 5 years developing a product means it is out of

I was tempted to post about but in the end just left it to Paul to take all the potential flak.
Moderators ! please move to the Mac/Apple Forum to prevent any flak being generated !!
I think we should leave this in the General forum. Almost every new B&O product recently released is related in some way to the Apple universe. I agree with Paul W. Amazing isn't it? I liked almost everything and thought

Hi Ed, And you have had an extra 5 months of retina joy ! That's the tricky bit. Isn't it? I will probably wait to see what happens after Jan 2013. I already know Apple may adopt a faster wireless standard and some other new tech which means more updates to everything. This past week my current iMac 27 had to go back to Apple to replace the 2 TB drive. I was going through a state of withdrawal being off the grid. As it turns out, Apple is doing a recall of all recent iMacs with the 1 TB Seagate

Ah dudes, There might be a better idea. This project was started several months ago. LIFX is an Australian company which will be producing a LED light bulb that has wifi in each bulb. An adapter plugged into a switch will not be needed. I have ordered several bulbs. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/limemouse/lifx-the-light-bulb-reinvented

As you can see from my previous post, I am a supporter of the kickstarted.com project. There are a lot of great ideas coming from kickstarter and some bad ones too. I have also ordered a Pebble watch which I think is awesome. Pebble can control your iPhone using bluetooth. The amazing thing about Pebble is there will be an SDK for developers to develop their own Pebble watch app. Beowatch anyone? I think it may come in Orange for Paul W. I am getting an extra Pebble watch in red. http://getpebble

  • Re: The REAL cost of your £269 iPad mini? £117, according to...

Why are we even talking about this? Why is this important in a Bang & Olufsen forum? If you think a product is too expensive or it does not function the way you require, don't buy it. I purchased an iPad mini for my 8 year old nephew which will be a Christmas gift. He is going to need a iPad mini for reading, school projects, and generally to prepare him for the rest of the 21st century. I also have an iPad 3 which is used daily for reading electronic news, books, magazines, and music of
My company has just ordered 400, and I've just got the mk4 which is fantastic. Virtually all US airlines have gone though the Apple/Android/Windows pad thingy selection progress for their pilots. And after taking into account build quality, security and software stability, every single one selected the IPad. As always you get fanboys for Apple, but you also get the "I hate Apple but spend all time talking about it" brigade who wheel this sort of
