• Re: Beoworld membership
It has always been thus. The forum comes and goes - the main purpose, of informing others, carries on. Like some of the other posters, my problem is that B&O has moved on. I don't think I have anything current at present and my old equipment is so well made, I cannot see me needing anything other than a BV3 (which I am on the look for) in the near future. I will attempt to answer questions that I can manage but leave the clever computer stuff to others now!
Maybe we need a BeoPlay sub forum with its own green livery so those of us who admire both brands can follow both, and the new clientele who may not be interested in (or worse be turned off by) some of our debates can can engage in BeoPlay pertinent discussions ?
That is a great idea! The new forum could have a cool B&O green background. Even though I have a Beolit 12, I am not really enthused about the Beoplay line.

  • Re: B&O would like our feedback....

Amen to that. My wife's response to seeing the new Beoplay V1 TV in a B&O shop at the weekend was unrepeatable! I was also able to confirm that the Beolit 12 does indeed look worse in the flesh than it does in pictures... Back to the website - am I being thick in not being able to find them, or have all the telephones vanished?
Beoplay products are on the Beoplay site .... http://www.beoplay.com/ .... • Re: My 24 hours with a Beolit 12

Chris, I have had my Beolit 12 for about 2 months. I agree the setup process is a little clumsy but I never had any dropouts. The only problem is playing music that is being retrieved from Apple's iCloud simultaneously. Playing from the cloud works well but the stopping and starting of music or trying to advance to a different album there is some delay. This is probably how Airplay works. I live in apartment where there are about 15 wifi networks within range. My wifi network is setup for 5 GHZ

  • Re: BS5 Encore/BEO6 or Playmaker/Ipod
Hi guys, I own a BeoSound 5 with BeoMaster 5 since 3 years now and i'm very satisfy. I think the PlayMaker has another "philisophy" of use. It's more a product for someone who has all his music on iTunes or a NAS and want to control it with an iOS or Android product. If you have it, the PlayMAker is for you. Moreover, if you're not really into the search for a design product, but want lots of control, the combo PlayMaker + BeoLab 3 is a must. I

  • Re: B&O Audio Strategy; bye bye non-digital media

I think we are all well aware that digital music and digital video is a reality now and far into the future. I am sure that Bang and Olufsen knows this and is trying to figure out what kinds of products they need to produce. The introduction of BEO Play surely illustrates they want to be in the digital market. They are also probably working on a product for the high end market as well. Beosound 5 is an example of their first try at the high end market but it has been difficult for them. This is an

  • Re: Discounts?

In order to find out what reasonable discounts are I think we have to somehow get hold of a purchase price list for dealers. There must be a way to get hold of that?
Ugh. Sometimes I remember why I don't come back here very often. This is as stupid as it is tasteless.
Uh. I think I am beginning to agree with you..

  • Re: Live Blog from 6pm UK, 5pm GMT - iPhone 5!
Good news considering its the wealthiest company on the planet, and a lot of that planet are watching!
It is good news for Apple and maybe some good news for B&O. I will be ordering the new iPhone 5 in a few days but have no plans for any B&O product purchases. Maybe others will discover some B&O products but not much looks very interesting for now.

Chris, Very nicely written. It is indeed difficult to understand why someone would use words like zealot or sinister to describe a person who just happens to like a certain product. As an engineering type of person, I reviewed the video of the entire Apple presentation. I was impressed with the solutions to many of the technical problems they encountered. Each individual will have reasons to either like the iPhone 5 or not like it. I already have an iPhone 4s and need the LTE data network capabilities

but about all those fanatic followers of a certain brand
Aren't most members of this board of the same kind? It doesn't mean that all those are standing in a queue as soon as the product is released. In many households, Apple makes part of their audio/video systems. And if Apple release new products, it can be interesting. It certainly does for me!
This is probably one of the best remarks I have seen on this
