• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

Loewe is not available in the US, Canada or probably the whole Western Hemisphere.
Rather a sweeping statement Bill. It's pretty well known in Western Europe. Or this a case of "We don't know it in the US so that probably goes for the the rest of the Western world"?
It was a broad statement and was meant to be facetious. However the Western Hemisphere in this instance meant the Americas as in North America

Kokomo, I think the secret about the 'Play' range is that it's really aimed at anyone who will buy it. I know the marketing focuses on the younger buyer but according to my dealer, people in all age groups are buying Beoplay products. There are older people shopping in the Apple store which sells the Beolit 12. Some of Apple's most loyal customers are well past age 50 and may not know Beolit 12 is not meant for them. I never heard of Loewe until I joined Beoworld. Loewe is not available

This is about the stand options from recorder.dk. I agree it does sound cool. There is room for different stands and feet to BeoPlay V1. The options are: Floor stand where TV hangs low and angled slightly backward. The TV can be pushed from side to side on the stand. Tabletop stand where the TV is vertical, with power lying loose on a shelf in a bookcase or on the floor. Discreet wall where the TV can swivel 180 degrees out from the wall to one side. Ceiling mount, where the angle and height can
This article mentions wired and wireless mains? http://techstyles.com.au/bang-olufsens-beoplay-v1-tv-makes-unscheduled-appearance/plasma-and-lcd-tv/
Thanks for the link. I have been listening to internet radio and I am now ready for internet TV. I read recently that in the US, many have been canceling cable TV. If needed, I can always install an antenna for the 35 channels on local broadcast TV.
There is a place for B&O products that don't make use of brushed aluminium and look like jewels, but are superior to the mainstream brand for sound+vision. We have seen that Beosound 8 and Beolit 12 were highly criticized here for their "not B&O" look. And they sell like hot cakes. And stop complaining about lack of Masterlink : it's a dead technology which can't evolve as it's analogue. Just buy a NAS, put all your movies+music on it

  • Re: Beolit 12 and standby
I recently purchased a Beolit 12, and while I'm pleased with it's performance, it seems to go into standby mode after about 15mins of non-play even when connected to a power source. This is rather irritating, because it means attending the machine to switch it on, and then wait for it to acquire the wi-fi signal. Not ideal if you are in bed on a cold morning
I like my Beolit 12 also and am very pleased. I noticed that in standby after about 15
Super-flat BeoLab 12 speakers now available in white... Very cool... http://www.bang-olufsen.com/beolab12-white-press
Thanks Steph. I was hoping the Beolab 12s would ultimately be available in white. Sounds very cool indeed!
Now i may come under fire for having an opinion about this tv which doesn't bother me but it just looks basic to me and like i have stated before not very b&0.
I don't like it either. However I do think the ceiling mount is clever.

  • Re: B&O would like our feedback....

The main problem with the site is that it is presumably not finished. Quality control should be the main focus for Bang & Olufsen and it didn't happen here. Usually when a company is launching new products and canceling other products, they have a complete website. The web is part of the marketing campaign. Consider there are customers new to the brand trying to figure out the various products and trying to decide what goes together. There is not a cohesive message. The dealer locator is

  • Re: New house do I use cat 7

I am actually thinking about cable requirements also. Whether you use cat 7 for your B&O equipment or use ML cable, I would install an additional cat 7 cable for network traffic that is completely digital as in the internet and data connections throughout your house.
