• Re: My Beolab 5000
How are you Dennis, long time no see
I'm good, thanks. Yes, it has been a couple of years since the last time I posted on Beoworld. It was also about that time I met my girlfriend, so spending many of my weekends at her place a couple of 100 kilometers from home and the rest of my weekends fixing and enjoying my cars left very little time and interest for my B&O. After starting to study 'Maskinmester' ( Bachelor of Technology Management

Hmm... maybe a couple of hours with a program where you can draw the different symbols, scale the text correctly and place it with the correct distance between each other would be a better option in terms of sharpness and quality? This will also make it possible to have it UV printed directly onto the part. Just don't mention or show it on this forum if you reproduce the 'BEOMASTER 5000' and 'B&O' logo. It's highly frowned upon, apparently illegal and you will risk having

  • Re: Restore B&O sign

Only partly, but if you have, I would be very glad if you would enlighten me. I honestly don't have a lot of knowledge in this field, but it sounds like you have, and I could imagine you have studied the law in connection with you having reproductions of various B&O parts made. There has never been talk of putting B&O's logo on 'whatever'. You make it sound like the OP was asking how to put a B&O logo on some plywood coffee table he hammered together in his backyard, so
The short answer is - you don't. The B&O logo is a registrered trademark and only B&O is allowed to use it. Strictly speaking, putting B&Os logo on something you built and/or painted yourself could lead other people to believe that B&O endorsed the thing and it went through their quality control. At least one of our members were confronted by B&O juridical department because of something similar. What you do at your own kitchentable we cannot

  • Re: Anyone knows what happened to user BEOVOX141 ?

He used to post very regularly on the forum of Hifi4All . Unfortunately his last visit there (logged in at least) was the 13th of September - click . Haven't been in contact with him myself, but are following different threads he posted in. Millemis, Peter Pan and Henrik seemed to have a good relationship - maybe they know something? /Dennis

  • Re: BC9500 "code".. 1721 does not work

Have you made sure it isn't in option 0? Seem to remember that it doesn't accept the 1721 combo in option 0. The eprom shouldn't be the one holding the option setting though, or...? But worth a shot I guess. /Dennis

  • Re: Beovox 5700 Tweeter replacement

Does anyone have experience with the product below? https://nino-music.pswebshop.com/en/home/169-replacement-diaphragm-tweeter-celestion-hf2000-beovox-5700-gale401-imft-ls80.html They also have diaphragms for BeoVox M100. I have a M100 with a supertweeter that doesn't seem to be performing 100 % as intended, so if these reproductions are of a quality identical to the original ones, that would be fantastic. /Dennis

  • Re: Beolab 4500 same amp than beolab 5000

Well, these speakers are slowly starting to reach an age where cracked solder joints and dried out electrolytic capacitors can begin to be an issue - there aren't really that many of these caps though (less than 20 as far as I can tell), so a complete overhaul is fairly manageable if necessary. I have the circuit boards of what probably equals to 3 x BL3000/4500/5000 except the transformators and a few other parts. Displays and microprocessors (3000/5000) were sold to a fellow BeoWorlder a couple

Yes, you will get more low-end with a BL4500 amp. The resistor is there to dampen the low-end in the BL5000s since it has the benefit of an extra bass driver and a larger cabinet as pointed out by Millemissen. I don't know how much of an audible difference it will make though as I've never tried to exchange them. In the BL3000s the resistors were simply cut off in one side and bend away, so it is very simple to just solder them together again, if it has to be used as a BL5000. But as far
