• Re: Capri TV

I will not plug in in, nor will I be trusting myself with the electronics so I will hand it over to an expert as damaging it would be a shame. But the good news is continuing...
Suppose its in working order or you get the set working, is it still possible to receive an picture from the Dutch public broadcaster with this very well preserved beauty (Capri). I thought terrestrial broadcast stopped by 2006 in the Netherlands, so

  • Re: Beomaster 4000 addiction in the making
Ok... Been a while but I've finally got my hands on an old dual beam oscilloscope! its a vintage CRT job that lacks lots of modern day refinements but I'm hoping to use it to follow the incoming signal on the functioning right channel and compare this at the same points on the failed left channel. Tested the scope with its own 1v ptp square wave test signal and both channels work ok...however it came without a probe so I have ordered one up.....should be interesting

  • Re: Speaker Compatibility - Beomaster & Beosystem

Your Beomaster 3300 is unfortunately not compatible with the slightly newer Powerlink standard that your speakers are using. Basically, the Powerlink connection carries line-level (unamplified) audio and control signals for turning on/off - this was implemented in the later versions of your receiver; Beomaster 3500 and 4500. You can use some adapter cables and use the headphone output, even though the sound quality will be diminished as this signal is attenuated from the power amplifier output in
The font used on the lighter is not used with any logo — replica.
That font looks a lot like the one they used through the 80's-90's.

  • Re: Beoworld on Spotify

This is a great idea! I just added a song from an EP I was asked to engineer and play on, made in professionally built studio with an 24-track 2" Otari tape machine owned by a friend of mine. The post processing was done digitally in 32-bit 96 kHz wave as I didn't have enough time in the studio to make a mastering onto my friend's Studer B67 two track deck. The album cover was taken by me on expired black/white film and developed/scanned in my small single room apartment The plan is

Nice TV's if one has the space to own them. I have many fond memories of my childhood with an LX2502N in my room and an LX2802 in the livingroom

  • Re: BS3200 Hard Drive

The Beosound 3200 hard drive is likely just an ordinary 2.5" PATA drive, used often for laptops at the time. It can be a bit difficult to source a new drive, but new old stock should be easy; the issue is that we don't know how the drive is formatted and any possible software contained in the disk. These things becomes clear if mounted to a computer (A Linux partition is only recognizable on a Linux distribution though.) You can't use a modern SSD with the Beosound as they use a different

I was attending the concert last year; Jeff did a good job though I wish the setlist was a little longer And yes, the documentary is excellent. Watch out for the new album which can be pre-ordered now

  • Re: B&O Avant Network Port Only 100Mb/s :(

100 megabit/s is more than adequate for most streaming purposes - it's equivalent to 12,5 MB/s or 45 GB an hour; just about double the needed bandwidth for even 4K files. A gigabit port wouldn't make any difference in that aspect.

  • Re: Vinyl and B&O

I don't see any meaning in a new B&O turntable in a time where you can get a refurbished Beogram 4000 with a retipped cartridge, for the same price as a new ordinary mid-price turntable with cartridge. Furthermore, the bean counters who killed off the traditional turntable production are still doing their job at B&O cirka 20 years later. Where should it be produced? Of which quality materials? How about the cartrigde system? We are talking millions in development from scratch and even
