  • Beolink 7000 Floorstand - Power Adaptor Technical Details needed

I do have a Beolink 7000 Floorstand Type Nr. 1553, but I don't have the power adapter to charge the installed Beolink. Does anybody know the voltage / ampere etc. of the adaptor? Plus / minus inside or outside the pin that goes into the stand? Size? So I could buy a generic one, I am sure trying to find an original one for sale is impossible.... Thanks in advance! Ralf PS: I don't know if this is the right place to post - maybe Vintage Products Section is better...?

HIER Ralf

  • Re: Switching the video Off but retaining the audio in a BEOVISION 8-40

@alfiio: Sorry, did't mean to offend you. It is just - maybe just my view - that a lot of questions are asked here even though the answer are either in the manuals / PDFs or have been covered before etc. I try to help most of the time Best regards Ralf PS: any yes, welcome to the forum!

  • Re: Which B&O System for connecting digital sources

Don't the speakers turn on and off listening to dolby surround sources when there is no signal present? For example, watching a movie with a scene with lots of talking, the front speakers left and right should turn off after 3 min. What is your center speaker? Or do you use stereo only (with sub)? Thanks! Best regards Ralf

  • Re: Which B&O System for connecting digital sources

Thanks for the details - that is something really interesting for me! Unfortunately I am not able to do these things myself... How did you do it? Any hints or drawings? I might try to find an electrician who is able to help me out. I am sure this kind of connection would be very welcome by lots of B&O users who want to stick with the active beolab speakers but are not willing to or able to spend a fortune on a Beosystem 3. Best regards from Germany Ralf

  • Beolab 4000 as Center Speaker - set switch to L or R?

I am thinking of changing back to a Beolab 5.1 set-up.... Found a way to use my Pioneer AVR as a driver for the Beolabs. Thanks to Desmo and AV connection ( LINK ). For the moment we have 2 Beolab 4000 speakers. [We used to have an AVANT (later on Beovision 3-32) with Beolab 8000 + 6000, but when the TV broke, we bought a Pioneer Kuro Plasma screen (which still has a superb picture)]. I thought about using 1 Beolab 4000 as center speaker. But how about the audio switch of the speaker? L(eft) or R

  • Re: beolab speakers usable with surround reciever
I have Beolab 8000s in the front (Active), Beovox 2s in the rear (Passive), Beolab 11 subwoofer, and a non-B&O centre speaker.
Just look for a av receiver with 2 trigger out 12 volt and get the cables mentioned from av-connection.dk . I will be using my pioneer lx vsx 60 in combination with a kuro plasma pdp lx 5090h. Ralf

  • Re: beolab 2 - non B&O amplifier

@liviu_o (about rca plugs only): I know BUT in a surround set-up the speakers turn off if no signal is present - this happens very often with rears and sometimes with the fronts (when there is a lot of dialogue via the center). The linked cables keep the speakers alive with the power present, according to what I read. I will know exactly when I install my set-up, maybe in a week or so. Best regards Ralf
