  • Re: New B&O TV BeoVison Harmony

Sandyb is almost to well informed to be on this forum We've been told that the new speaker systems (to be connected to the LG tv's) will only work with the C9 panel (and newer). Roger

  • Re: Limited Edition: H9i Rimowa edition with aluminium case

Don't worry, Lee - the P2 / Supreme collab gave us a hint or two:. The new management at B&O have a fetish for exclusitivy - wanting to get rid of the smaller B1's and only have shops next to Louis Vuitton in major cities and fancy neighborhoods. The products formerly know as BeoPlay will gain more exclusivity through staying in focus in social media: new colors twice a year and collabs with trendy brands. Roger

...a dream where Struer was the capitol of the Inland Empire, an odyssey with a meaning as diffcult to grasp as the Struer business case...

A positive note, at least to the older gang here at BeoWorld: If you don't buy the fancy H9i's in a fancy alu box and save the money, you may be able to swallow the expected €1.500-2.000 price tag of the new cans coming. They may even be among the best sounding cans in the business, expensive but fairly priced... as with the B&O of old. Sorry for sidetracking Roger

I'm fine with how they have tried to make a massive glass panel look more interesting via moving panels, but they should have been able to move the tv, too. I have a BV Avant 75 in a 130 m3 room, but there are so many large windows that the placement is limited - but with the planetary stand for the Avant 75/85 this is not a problem: I can have the oversized sofa facing the view and a tv that blocks parts of the view when in use. A 77 or 88 stationary glass panel? Sometimes reflections are so

  • Re: Is the Moment a sensible buy?

There was a discussion regarding the sound quality on the Moment-thread that is worth considering since you have the BL90's. It all started with John from B&O Manchester (see his youtube channel), who was baffled by the improvement in sound quality when he removed the Moment in the shop and replaced it with the Core. I love the look and user experience of my Moment, but must admit that I'm considering the Core just for the improved sound quality. B&O will shortly release a new remote

Have a look at this and skip to approx 4 minutes. Did an A-B test myself, quite surprised I must admit. Will try to find the reply to this issue that I received from Struer. Roger

@vikinger - this is what I got from the man himself back when the issue was adressed: Subject:Moment vs Core on Sound quality I've just asked about this and was told that since the comparison was done using BeoLab 3 the connection was via PowerLink (where the Moment outperforms the Core) so the comparison in the video was likely using Deezer HiFi on the Core and normal Deezer on the Moment. Before upgrading to the BeoLab 50 you should audition using optical connection from the Core, and PL connection

  • Re: New B&O TV BeoVison Harmony

@Sandb: you're fairly spot on, as always. The Eclipse and the Horizon were declared EOL last month (March) and B&O is, sort of, exiting the TV market: This is a lift and a speaker system for the 77" and 88" LG TV's. As B&O "lost" control of the totality, mounting options had to be limited to a controlled lift environment: wall mounting or turning a 3. party screen is difficult from an HSE point in todays world (liability). At the first presentation B&O hadn't

Should add that I'm very happy to see that B&O is still focusing on the BeoVision side - and not only releasing headphones and portable speakers. The final version of the Harmony is stunning, but at a price point that will not help most B1's - but the sound bar and the other video product to be released later will hopefully increase in-store traffic with their more affordable price points. Today, IMHO, B&O is great at the very high end of audio & video - and at the Beoplay end
