• Re: Beosystem 2500 - laserfejl m.m.

That rattling sound is most probably caused by the laser diode itself, when trying to get the focus. Every CD drive works as follows: -move laser unit to innermost position. - is CD installed? Switch laser on and see if it gets reflected. - If reflection is found, spin the CD - now try to get a focus on the surface of the CD. (This is done by moving it up and down) -If focus found move to position of TOC ( Table Of Content) and read the table. -play first track if not otherwise specified. position

  • Re: Beosystem 2500 - laserfejl m.m.

Hi, sorry to answer in english. The Beosystem 2500 with the curved laser has the CDM 4 unit installed. So the problem is caused by the famous 'C2103' to 99%. In the Beosystem 2500 units it's C100 on the CD Servo Motor System and Disc Detector Board. replacing the electrolytic capacitor with a new Philips / Vishay blue capacitor and the fault should be gone. C100 is connected to Pin 17 of the TDA 8808T and ground in the '2A' area of the board. Maybe Dillen (Martin) can provide
... I have copied some wav files to the BM5 SSD, these are playing well but TAGs and Covers are not recognized. I could not manage to show them , I decided to convert them to wma now the Tags are fine.
Well, you just found out that the WAV File is a format that doesn't support Tags nor covers nor anything else MP3, WMA and FLAC support the additional info in the files. The WAV format is just rawe PCM data of the audio plus information about the sampling

  • Re: beocom 2500

Hi, according to the product page for the beocom 6000 here on beoworld.org the signaling of the CLI is the same in Germany and the UK. Both countries use the FSK ( Frequency Shift Key). So it should work. ( Link to BeoCom 6000 , scroll down to Handsets) But it can only work if you get the CLI Information delivered from your provider. You stated that another BeoCom 2500 doesn't show the CLI neither. So i assume you don't get the CLI data to the jack, where the phone is connected. EDIT: Just

  • Re: How many 1611 converters can be used in a master link network?

Just tried the Product Configuration Guide: If Masterlink is selected to link rooms, one can't select 'old' audio devices (to enforce the use of a 1611). But it is possible to add several 1615 to connect a MX4000 for example.

Hi, even when you get trouble with the two 1611 in your masterlink network you could try a Beolink Video 1615 to connect the lintronic to the Audio aux connector. This is just a gues but might a solution for your problem and a 1615 is quite cheap.

  • Re: How many 1611 converters can be used in a master link network?

Hi Luke, the 1615 does only transport the audio signal and the Datalink signal to and from a B&O TV, and converts it to masterlink. The video signal itself will be transported via the antenna cable. But video is not needed in your case and the masterlink network doesn't care if the video transfer is done correct or not (which is the case in this scenario). Concerning the Product Configuration Guide: It's just not possible to have an Audio System (a 1611 in your case, because it would

  • Re: BV 10 & BS5 & Masterlink

Hmm the picture doesn't show something wrong, they should be ok. All necessary connections are doen internally in the junction box: - white-blue and pink are connected - the two outer pairs on every side are all connected with each other (use for the shielding and ground wires) So no need to set a special cross wire or jumper. Just matching the masterlink wires to the corresponding connection (colour). Did you connect the masterlink cables to the components _before_ final power-up sequence or

  • Re: BV 10 & BS5 & Masterlink

Hi, the BS5 needs A.Opt 0 to not react on IR signals, this will be handled by the BV10. But it also has to be set to 'Audiomaster = Yes'. The Audiomaster setting defines it's role in the masterlink system. If you own a BS900 for example, the BS9000 is the Audiomaster and an additional BS5 has to 'give up' it's role as Audiomaster in the system. If you don't utilize another audio system in your master link system then the BS5 has to be an Audiomaster! So you should set
