  • Re: BeoLab 3500 IR receiver issue

Hi, if everything except IR works on you Beolab 3500 you should replace atleast one SMD capacitor on the Display Board. See this post and read the thread :) I had the same problem and it helped very well.

  • Re: Sendersuche Beovision 8-32

Isio. Dann sind die entsprechenden PUC

  • Re: Beomaster 5500 Intermittent Noise at Certain Volume Levels

Hi, for Q1: To avoid influence of the Penta's i would check first whether the noise problem still exists or not. This way you could determine the component causing the issue. for Q2: Normally those amplifiers are set to 11mV across the Emitter resistors. This way the heatsinks should stay cool. But replace the trimpots in advance! for Q3: the lithium battery is seated in the metal can between the front plate and the main chassis. In this metal case is the microprocessor. I hope this helps a bit

Hi, for the two 4000µf in the powersupply section get two 4700µf Caps. for the 160µF use a 220µF. Electrolytic capacitors have a high tolerance in production, often -20% / + 50 %

  • Re: Beomaster 1001 problem with FM Stereo detection

Hi, the stereo decoder could be adjusted without a 2-Channel Oscilloscope! There are 2 ways described in the manual: Stepp 11-13 or 14 and 15. The step 14 uses the oscilloscope in the X-Y Mode, this is not a 2 Channel mode instead it uses the normal y -input and the horizontal deflection is controlled by the x-input signal and not via the timebase. The resistor is the (backup) supply for the transistor if the lamp is broken or disconnected it still gets the supply voltage so that the stereo decoder

  • Re: Audio Aux vs Powerlink MkII

Detecting via the Pin 8 can't be done because the newer Beolabs (4000, 6000, 8000..) don't use the Overload function. In the manual it says that the AV7000 detects whether rear speakers are connected. Most probably it does this like the Besound 9000. As there are 2 powerlink connectors for 'rear' one dummy Powerlink plug with a resistor ( 1k up to 4.7k) between Pin 2 and Pin 1. should do the trick. The MCL 2P then connected with a fully wired ( ) AV cable to the other rear powerlink

  • Re: Audio Aux vs Powerlink MkII

Hi, it should work flawless. Pin 8 is the feedback of an active speaker telling the system an Overload Condition. PIN 6 and 7 are for Speaker Display data. The MCL2P needs a power on signal on PIN 4! (in contrast to the later BeoLabs) PIN 1 is not used and theaudio signal comes on PIN 3 and 5.
