• Re: How many 1611 converters can be used in a master link network?

Well, at home now But i don't have a 1614, sorry! 1616 (BL activ) and 1615 BL video collecting dust, and a 1611 connected between ML and BeoSystem 2500. Thinking about your configuration makes me wonder how you would control the MAC audio? The Beosystem 7000 knows Tape 1, Tape 2, CD and phone as external sources and all inputs are in the BS7000. There's only one more source group available via the AUX/TV connector: Audio from video devices via ML in your case The BS700 is in another room

Ah, ok. a.Tape2 / N.Music is an audio command. The IR sequence is the same, just the name is different. Do you have any other devices on your Masterlink Network or why do you have the 1611 connected?

Just scrolled back to the begining of the thread and stumbled over this:
....Here's a basic schematic of what I'm trying to do: [Beomaster 7000]--<datalink>--[1611]--<masterlink>--[masterlink network]--<masterlink>--[1611]--<datalink>--[Lintronic]--<RS232 to USB>--[mac mini] i need two 1611s because the Beosystem 7000 is located in a different room to my computer. ....
There is now video master in your descrption

Hi Luke, sorry to hear that it didn't help to solve your problem. I just remembered the old Beolink converter 1614. This device was before the 1611, which had the feature to act as an audiomaster if no Video nor Audio Master was connected to the Masterlink System. The 1614 had the same connections as the 1611 but not the audiomaster function. So this might be a solution if it routes the IR commands from ML to the Datalink pin of the AudioAux connector. I'll have a look whether i have 1614

  • Re: My Beolab 5000

Hi, just remembered the ancient times, around 1988 / 89 when MINOLTA had white toner for some copiers in their portfolio. This was used for some special customer who wanted white on colored paper. What was black on the original was copied with white toner, So using black paper gave a 'negative' copy. It was really white toner powder instead of the usual black one and it gave very good results. So it is possible to use white toner The problem is just to find someone who still owns such a copier

Those 'old' radial drives are built like rock. As long as you don't play around with the laser current they work flawless and the laser itself lasts nearly forever. See here what user Dillen (Martin) wrote about the capacitor: https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/4108/36493.aspx#36493 Here's a little 'dispute ' about the capacitor https://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/35846/266550.aspx#266550 between Dillen and Menahem Yachad. Both are very experienced tecnicians. Menahem uses

That rattling sound is most probably caused by the laser diode itself, when trying to get the focus. Every CD drive works as follows: -move laser unit to innermost position. - is CD installed? Switch laser on and see if it gets reflected. - If reflection is found, spin the CD - now try to get a focus on the surface of the CD. (This is done by moving it up and down) -If focus found move to position of TOC ( Table Of Content) and read the table. -play first track if not otherwise specified. position

  • Re: Beosystem 2500 - laserfejl m.m.

Hi, sorry to answer in english. The Beosystem 2500 with the curved laser has the CDM 4 unit installed. So the problem is caused by the famous 'C2103' to 99%. In the Beosystem 2500 units it's C100 on the CD Servo Motor System and Disc Detector Board. replacing the electrolytic capacitor with a new Philips / Vishay blue capacitor and the fault should be gone. C100 is connected to Pin 17 of the TDA 8808T and ground in the '2A' area of the board. Maybe Dillen (Martin) can provide

  • Re: The Beosound 5 / Beomaster 5 resources future proof maintenance thread
... I have copied some wav files to the BM5 SSD, these are playing well but TAGs and Covers are not recognized. I could not manage to show them , I decided to convert them to wma now the Tags are fine.
Well, you just found out that the WAV File is a format that doesn't support Tags nor covers nor anything else MP3, WMA and FLAC support the additional info in the files. The WAV format is just rawe PCM data of the audio plus information about the sampling

  • Re: beocom 2500

Hi, according to the product page for the beocom 6000 here on beoworld.org the signaling of the CLI is the same in Germany and the UK. Both countries use the FSK ( Frequency Shift Key). So it should work. ( Link to BeoCom 6000 , scroll down to Handsets) But it can only work if you get the CLI Information delivered from your provider. You stated that another BeoCom 2500 doesn't show the CLI neither. So i assume you don't get the CLI data to the jack, where the phone is connected. EDIT: Just
