  • Re: Beomaster 8000 frequency problem

Hi, So if the tuning voltage is stuck at the maximum after 96-97 MHz and no pulses are coming from the processor it can be the prescaler or the processor itself. If you tune down the same applies until 90-91 MHz. There might be a problem with the prescaler or the supply of this part of the ciruit. That's why i asked for the continuity of the divided freq. at Pin 21 of the processor when sweeping from min. tuning voltage to max. tuning voltage. Do you have a scope? This could help to see the sweep

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 frequency problem

Have you checked the signal the µP gets from the prescaler at Pin 21? Is it continuos sweeping or is there a sudden jump or break? Even if the µ264 is exchanged we don't know if it counts well from 98,2 to 118,7 MHz. Remember that the display doesn't show the frequency of the FM tuning oscillator, but the freq. the µP wants to tune it in. Also the signal form of the prescaled frequency should be near a clear square wave. To check the points one should open the loop of the

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 frequency problem

The first link says that the u264 is very sensitive for the supply voltage and the second one deals with the problems between the TTL divider and the processor input. Could be the same at your Beomaster 8000 and those are things that can be checked without a new processor board. I guess you don't have a frequency counter? Maybe your digital multimeter can count frequencies. This way you could measure the otput of the prescaler circuit (u264 and 4013). Often a DMM can measure freq up to 1 (output

  • Re: Beolink Converter dead?

Hi, for the case 1 the TV should have the speakers connected and should react on video _and_audio commands if your beolink converter and cabling would be correct. This would imply that pressing RADIO would switch on the BM3500 and the TV in Audio Mode so that the music can be heard through the speakers of the TV. In case 2 (both units are in option '1' _and_ correct working converter, incl. cabling) you would get a correct function. There's a 3rd option possible that would be what you

  • Re: Beolink Converter dead?

Hi, assuming that you have your BM3500 and your Beovision 7 in one room and the Beolab 8000s connected to the BM3500 you should use option 1 for Audio and Video. Setting the option has to be done with the systems in standby and best not connected to each other. Then BM, BV and convertor disconnected from the power for 5 minutes. Now check the cabling of the BL convertor: ML cable in BV and BL convertor properly plugged in, 7 Pin Datalink cable plugged in BL convertor into AUX plug and in AUX/TV in

  • Re: Beolab 14 kaufen?

  • Re: Philips MFB 541 - OK to use with Beocenter 2300?

Hi, this should work fine. The switch (SKC) at the back of the MFB's should be set to 1V / 10KOhm (upper psoition) and the other switch (SKD) should be set to left / right according to the positioning of the speakers. Any 5 Pin DIN cable ( 5Pin plug to 5 pin plug) should work. The speakers are activated by the signal they receive, not by the B&O Power Signal. Just plug the DIN cable into the powerlink socket of the Beocenter 2300 and the other end to one speaker IN. then from this speakers

  • Re: Beomedia 1

  • Avant Dolby Digital Modul and DTS

Hello, does anyone know from what software version the B&O DolbyDigital module for the Avant / Beovision 3 was capable of decoding not only AC3 but also DTS? The wiki only states that the latest DTS capable software version is V3.1 but when did the support for DTS start? And maybe someone has the software as a HEX or BIN file that he or she wants to send to me so that i can program the necessary chip and replace the existing one which is AC3 V2.1. Thanks in advance

  • Re: Ps3 to Beovision 3

Hi Chris, the beovision gives an excellent picture in SD but no HD picture could be presented. If the PS3 emits component signal at it's connector the BV3 can not display a good picture. You have to set the PS3 to S-Video or Combined Video (FBAS). S-Video would give you the best quality but even combined Video should be quite acceptable because of the fantastic image processing of the BV3. Keep in Mind that the BV3 uses the same chassis as the later Avant RF. You need an adaptor from S-Video
