• Re: BM 4400 Mexico

Hi mika, that's right, but what i had in mind was to get an idea what the maximum output voltage of the power amp in its current state is. I think there's not a big problem with the unit itself. Just to make it sure (and protect Sören ears from (2x) 75 W 2 KHz (sine, square or whatever waveform he uses from the program ).
Checked all resistors, ohms and where I could not get a clean reading, checked the color, codes. Checked diodes and cathode direction, checked all transistors for type and BCE placement. All seams OK. Checked solder side with 10 x magnifier, cleaned solder side one more time. Powered on RL1 pulls. Connected over variac, went to 60VAC, as the fault switch is triggered from speaker out I checked P11 pin 3, left channel, gets - 90mVDC, checked P12 pin 3,

  • Re: Beomedia 1 to beolink passive or active ?

Hi Daniel, first of all you need an AUX Y-Spliter. You can get it from Steve at Sounds Heavenly here or from a B&O Dealer. This cable belongs between the mastelink converter (1611) you own and your beocenter 2300. Then you can connect the BM1 audio to your B&O System. In the link rooms you can listen to the music from the BM1 by activating A.Tape (or Phono, CD2, DVD, TV, SAT, VTAPE, VTAPE2..) But this can only be used for opening the audiochannel not for controling the BM1. To make this work
... Great idea to use the 1611. If you manage to open audio channel with VTape2 command, you can control BM1 (via IR-Eye) as it can be configured for source VTape2. But you will need the TV to follow the GUI navigation. hfat
You can also use a nice Computer monitor like a XEROX with glass in front of the TFT or something else, as long as it has the 15 pin VGA connector..

  • Re: BM 4400 Mexico

Hi Soren, have you checked also the integrated protection diodes of the TIP142/147 (see the link from my posting march 18th) ? At March, 16th you showed an excerpt of the power amplifier circuit with voltages. can you check the voltage at both Emitters of TR 112/113 and 212/213 ? Should be done at full 110V, so disconnect the resistor R47 from connection where it meets R46 so that the protection circuit doesn't react on the right channel Check all the TP's mentioned at page 5.5 in the manual

  • Re: Beomedia1 internal PSU

Hi Mark, i wouldN't try to open the external PSU. The parts of the case are glued together and the probability you break it are high. Just do yourself a favour and buy a new power brick at eBay or somewhere else ( possible this one or similiar (It's not me offering this part)). It makes you live easier. Ralph-Marcus

  • Re: Set top box controller

Hi Jonathan, the chip with the wanted (latest update) codes is in the STB-Controller Module so it should work if both Aants are not to different. There are just two cables connectedto the STB-Controller. One is connected to the Avant and the other one is for the connection of the small PCB containg the 3,5 mm phone plug for the IR Blaster. • Re: Beolab 2500 alongside with beolab 6000 ?

Hi Frankck, this can be done! You need a Powelink T-Plug that goes into the second Powerlink connector of the Ouverture and both Beolab 2500 will be connected to the Adapter. The two Beolab 6000 will be connected as you described first Regards RaMaBo

  • Re: MCL 2AV (2031) S.W. 2.1 programming

Hi Aleksei, try this link to the archived forum. You should be able to open the ports of the MCL 2AV with <SHIFT>, <RADIO>, <6> or <7> with a Beolink 1000. But you might get a problem because the powerlink output of the MCL 2AV is not at fixed level but variable. If your MCL2AV is in the same room as your Beomaster 5500 changing the volume can work on the BM5500 _and_ on the MCL 2AV. Regards Ralph-Marcus

  • Re: Beomaster 8000 frequency problem

Hi Jaques, in the old thread ( 5. Jun.11 9:39 ) you wrote that when you revert to 94,4 you get pulses. Does the tuning voltage go down if you come from 108,0 MHz or something like that or does the voltage get stuck at max level? I think you got an oscilloscope, so do you get a constant sweeping frequency at IC4/Pin21 if you turn from 87,5 MHz up to 108,0 MHz and back down to 87,5 MHz. The frequency at this pin of the processor is between 383,6 and 463,7 kHz, so a constant variation should be be visible
