  • Re: 2-way + RDS?

Hi, I'm sorry but the BeoCenter 2500 doesn't offer RDS on the Beolink 7000 even if the BeoCenter itself has the RDS installed and working. And i think even the Beocenter 2300 with RDS Kit and 2-Way Software doesn't send RDS Info to the Beolink 7000. Both can be programmed to use a timer for play, record or standby but they can't control light (That's what the Beocenter 9500 can do, it's also 2-way capable, but no RDS info for the Beolink 7000).) For the Beovision 9000 and

  • Re: Controlling a Revox A77 with MCP 5500 or Beolink 1000?

Hi, there is an alternative for the TSOP7000. It's the TSOP5700 which is also obsolete now, but might give you a second chance to look for. It's an TSOP7000 in SMD case. The specs are out there in the web. To 'decode' the received IR-data the site gives some info about the hardware ' IR-> RS232' and the software for the microcontroller can be downloaded. In the ZIP file of the software there's also some information about the codes

  • Re: How to transfer Music/LP's from my 5500 system to Computer to create CD's

Hi David, i don't know where you can obtain this external USB soundcard mentioned before, but there are a few out there. The problem will be the distance! An USB connection may not be longer than 5m ! But you can put an active ( ! ) USB hub in between 2 USB cables of 5m length each. this gives you a missing 5m for the RCA-DIN cable thingie, which might be ok. But you need a wall outlet for the active USB Hub in 5m distance from your computer. Computer<--------------------->Active USB Hub<

  • Re: Dead Beocenter 9500

Hi Mikael, as mika said check TR16 and / or C12. The collector of TR16 should be around 0V only for a short while after power on. Then it should rise to nearly 5 Volts. You said that you get 15,5 mV at the collector that's logical a '0'. The RESET line is low-active due to the line above RESET. and a logical '0' is low. so your processor gets a constant reset signal and cann't start working it's propgramm. If you disconnect the reset line as you done before and connect

  • Re: 5 pin DIN

Hi, if you use a telephone charger (5V) the speakers will always be switched on. The 5V are a signal from the B&O Audio / Video Output to the speakes to switch on (=5V) or to switch off (=0V). The cable you showed is not useful ! Atleast the two wires carrying the audio signal should be shielded. The 5V trigger line doesn't need to be shielded, but it's probably easier to get a cable where all wires are shielded separately than the special B&O cable itself. Ralph-Marcus

  • Re: beocenter 9500 cd issue, c2103 changed....

33µF was the original value of C2103 but in the old forum Martin (DieBogener) mentioned that he also had success with a blue 47µF. And i had success with a blue 68µF Capacitor ( Original Philips) which i had when i needed a replacement for the C2103 in my Beogram CD6500. The capacitor has to be a blue Philips / Vishay with at least 33µF / 16V but it can be replaced with a bigger one 47µF for example as long as it is the 'famous' Philips type. Bigger values often

  • Re: Beocenter 9500 strange reaction when turning of and on

Hi, no the lithium battery (Type CR2450) is hidden under the black cables right before the cd drive if you look from the front. Just right of the silver 'tin box' shielding the microcomputer. To reset the '' display you have to disconnect your system for about 5 minutes from the mains, get a beolink 1000 or beo 4 and press <RADIO> button on it. Power on your 9500 and enter the code '1271' and <PLAY> with the remote control. This should make your system running
