• Re: Beosound 9000 - no lasers left...?
Maybe instead of managing stock of spares for legacy products, they might redirect to a reliable source of compatible lasers. I understand this is a too much small business for B&O but it might be interesting enough to some of their business partners/ambassadors. Even better, they might provide the specs of the laser to them, then it would be up to the third party to find/contract a suitable replacement. Regards. Olivier
I think this would be a great

I am sure the prices of the 9000s will start to fall as people realise the difficulty in getting lasers. Soon they will be worthless. I can't imagine the stock of the BS3200 lasers will last much longer either especially if people are buying them to repay their BS9000s as well. Since B&O don't make CD players anymore, they should at least try and keep spares for the past players especially the 9000. I guess the need the old systems to no longer be viable so that people buy their products

Sadly it seems like its the end of the road for the 9000. There are chinese lasers on Ebay but its so hit and miss as they often don't work or if they do they burn out much quicker than the originals. Be nice if someone could come up with a way to be able to fit newer cd laser types.

  • Re: Beo5 A_Aux
Did you program Aux_A in RADIO- or TV mode? Which system do you control with your Beo5? And to what option is it set ? Stefan
It is in Aux_A for RADIO, it is controlling a Beosound 9000 with Beolab 9s...masterlinked to Beolab 3500 in one room and a Beosound 4 with Beolab 3's in another room. It just puzzles me because its only on the Aux_A that it does that. I can't remember what option the BS9000 is on. I know its the master

No sub menu on aux. It's really strange. I've deleted the button and reprogrammed a new one. No luck.

  • Beo5 A_Aux

Hi I've added A_AUX onto my Beo5. It works except when its time to switch the system off. I have to hold down the standby button for the system to switch off. Its as if it thinks I have multiple systems on. All the other buttons such as radio, cd etc. I just have to quickly touch the standby button and the system turns off. Its only the A_AUX button that I have to keep holding the standby button down. Any ideas why? Thanks

  • Re: CDM 12.4 laser

Guess the only option is to open each 9000 and try and find the same lasers. Would be nice to know though if the easy to find ones are also compatible. Its quite difficult when you don't live in Europe as you have to have the parts sent to you and its a nightmare if its the wrong one not to mention costly.

  • Re: CDM 12.4 laser

Thanks Matador43, interesting to know but of course even finding what is the model of the laser for the 3000 isn't easy. Really amazing how there isn't any really definite information online. People seem to disagree with each other a lot on which laser.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't heard of the 1VC0573 laser in all my searching. Adds to the confusion.
