• Re: Connection question! Help needed...

Hi! Suggested setup: BV7 and BS9000 masterlinked. BL4000 connected to the BV7. When you play DVD (assume you have the DVD in your BV7), this will give you sound through your speakers. When you play CD on the BS9000, the masterlink will ensure the sound is routed through your BL4000. Your SAT box should be connected with HDMI to BV7 I assume, so you will have sound that way. /C

  • B&O Playmaker?

Got some info on the coming "B&O Playmaker". Supposed to replace the need of an Apple Express. Hiqh Quality DAC Intended to be placed visible, with possibility to e.g adjust volume with a "wheel like" interface as Beosound 3. Possible to connect speakers. (B&O speakers I assume) Airplay capable. Possible to command with a Beo4. In store pretty soon as I understand. Anyone can confirm or add to the list? Anyone seen pictures?

  • Re: How to make Beocenter 2 produce better HD images?
You could always rip out the DVD drive and install a blu ray player. I heard its quite an easy job. Just a few rolls of Sellotape , a hammer and half a pint of vodka and voila ! Im pretty sure that's how all bno gear is designed.
Maybe you just try to be funny, but a serious question from a forum member deserves a serious answer. Your quest on this forum to throw garbage at B&O is embarrassing .

  • How does sound settings ( bass, treble etc) work in my suggested setup?

Current setup: BL11 + BV10 -> Masterlinked to Beocenter 2 (Audio) + BL3 Here its clear that the sound settings in the BV10 is managing the BL11 and the built-in BV10 speakers, and the sound settings in the BC2 is managing the BL3:s. Suggested setup: BL3 front + BL11 + BV10 -> Masterlinked to Beocenter 2 I understand how to setup the sound in the BV10 for e.g watching movie. Thats no problem. But how will it work for sound that I play from the BC2, as audio source? I may want different sound

  • Re: B&O Playmaker?

I have ordered a Playmaker from my dealer. Was bigger than I what I could see from published pictures. Will replace my old Airport Express doing the same thing. Been thinking of adding an external DAC anyway. Will be tucked away, so the somewhat disappointing design will not bother me. So the possibility to set to A.opt 0 is good.
?Hjort? Why replacie the AES when you are going to use an external DAC anyway. I would rather wait and see (means:hear) how good/or bad the B&O-DAC inside the PM is. Would be nice to have a review from someone who already owns it? Greetings Millemissen
I was unclear. I was about to add an external DAC to the AES. But now when Playmaker surfaced, I rather buy B&O.

  • B&O campaign on Beosound 5

Maybe you have seen the same emails in your countries, by B&O evidently want to sell more BS5:s, with the help of their speaker range. The ad presents a bundle offer for a BS5 and a pair of Beolabs (all range). The amounts in the email is Swedish crowns.

  • Static noise in Masterlink system?

Have since a few days experienced a noice that sounds like static noise, very infrequent, when I listen to my BL2000 linked into my kitchen. It does not matter what source I play. I have not touched the cabling for two years, so I have no reason to believe they have been damaged. When I play same source in main room I have no such static noise, but I can hear it in the link room at the same time. Tried to shut down power in the whole system, but no change. Suggestions how to narrow down to the root

  • Re: Static noise in Masterlink system?

Tried to narrow down the problem. When I play e.g. AV Radio through my BV10 there is no static "clicks", while I play the radio source in the link speaker and can hear the noise. Audio source is a Beocenter 2 audio. Also, when I move my hands towards the BL2000 (the speaker where I hear the "clicks") the noise appear to increase in frequency... Strange.. can the Beloab 2000 go faulty just like that?
