• Re: Beosound Shape - what do you think now?
Hi HH With it operating as rear speakers can you assign the rear 4 speakers as right and left and right and left bass AND you only need one amplifier ?
Hi Michael, you only have 2 channels in, so you can assign left and right. The bass-management is taken care of by the Shape amp.

  • Re: The idea of SHAPE as surround speaker
Oh! Dear Steve, thank you very much for your answer My purpose is not to use BEOVISION, but to use other brands of TV, such as SONY. LAB18 is used for the main speaker, and SHAPE is used for the center speaker and surround speaker, which looks very beautiful The preamplifier USES ONKYO, transmitter 1 and receiver 1 to form a complete wireless system Is that ok?
If that is your usecase, Steve's a bit more unofficial solution might be the right thing for

  • Re: New BeoSound Stage!
I have been looking forward to the BS Stage for sometime for use with my Sony A1 OLED. My Sony is on a piece of furniture and the design of the television has an easel stand at the back and as there is no 'frame / bezel' or stand the TV sits on, and therefore the picture goes all the way to the bottom. If I installed the BS Stage in front of the TV it would cut off the picture. There would be a lot of customers like me where they don't have a television

  • Re: New BeoSound Stage!
I've read the article MM mentioned, but it causes some confusion. WhatHiFi states that for using Dolby Atmos or TrueHD you need an eARC hdmi connection on your panel. For virtual height sound production. Only newer panels will have that eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) connection with the newer hdmi 2.1 specifications. B&O doesn't mention that the Stage needs an eARC connection on their site, just ARC. So, is it capable to reproduce some kind of virtual
Reading between the lines that means to me you could use a receiver 1 or a couple to take the place of the physical power link then 🤔
2 recievers (1 receiver = 1 channel = same channel on both L+R wire in the powerlink cable). For that exact reason you'll also need special cables OR a modified 2 splitter (the latter is the solution I prefer).

  • Re: The idea of SHAPE as surround speaker

Buy a complete Shape, including core and everything, and set it up. Connect a RJ45 cable from the TV to the leftmost (master) amplifier in the setup. Add the speakers in the TV's speaker group. Use it. ;) When using audio-sources from Core, the speaker will use the Band-on-the-wall algorithm. When using Powerlink it will automatically switch to stereo-filter, which is desired for use as surround speakers.

  • Re: New BeoSound announcement imminent

I'm controlling my Apple TV with the BeoRemote One through the LG. Like I would with PUC. CEC-implementation can vary between different Set top boxes, but I know for a fact that NVidia Shield and Apple TV is working well.

The control for external set top boxes rely on CEC, and all HDMI's including the 3 available in the TV and the 1 in the soundbar can be used. I'm using an Apple TV here and it works well.
