• Beosound Emerge

1.295,00 NZD for the Anthracite version. 1.600,00 NZD for the Gold Tone version. Correct me if I am wrong, this is about half the NZ price of the Beosound Level. If the assumption is correct, this product might be some sort of Beoplay M5 replacement. Edit: IMHO from the pictures it reminds me of some sort of router. I look forward to seeing it in person. Any thoughts? Olivier

  • Re: Beovision 7-40 mark VI DVB HD

I don’t live in the UK, I am not familiar with the local broadcasting standard, but here in the continent we need a TV set equipped with a DVB-T2 HEVC receiver. The BV 7 does not have HEVC, this might be the reason why HD transmissions are not decoded. In case this is the cause, then you’d need an external Freeview box connected to the BV 7. The box can be controlled via Beo4 through PUC, so you can hide it away. Regards. Olivier

  • Re: Beosound Level - new soundbar?

I’d like to see a BS Level Vs. BS 1 comparison. They are in the same price bracket and they seem to have similar specs. Olivier

  • Re: LG Compatibility
BV 14 and Avant mk2 have the latest video engine that was build on this video engine platform, before they quite the tv fabric in Struer and get the Deal with LG. Hope that help you :)
Is it confirmed that Avant Mk2 has BS4? I thought that Avant Mk1 was the last Avant with B&O picture processing, then Mk2 was based on an LG platform with WebOS. I’m just asking for confirmation about a guess, I’m not competent on this matter. Thanks. Olivier

  • Re: “Impossible to decode” message when switching from ATV to TV

No prob and thanks for the suggestion, I gave it a try. I have selected a different resolution but “Impossible to decode” again. Then I have switched off the ATV through the Apple settings menu, switched to TV and everything was fine. Is it some sort of HDMI glitch where the V1 doesn’t like to switch from an external source to an internal one when the first is still activated? Olivier

  • Re: “Impossible to decode” message when switching from ATV to TV

Update: if I turn the ATV off (it requires to navigate into the Apple menu until you get to the OFF command) then I switch back to tv, then everything is fine. If I don’t, the problem still occurs, black screen and “Impossible to decode” message is displayed. Definitely a strange behaviour from the V1. Olivier

  • Re: “Impossible to decode” message when switching from ATV to TV

Hi Lawrence, Thank you for sharing your experience. Where I live is not sunny in this season but weather is not too bad. I find strange that the loss of signal happens only when I switch from Apple TV back to TV but it has never happened while watching tv or changing channel. I’m not using an external decoder right now, only the internal DVB-T2 decoder. Thanks. Olivier

  • “Impossible to decode” message when switching from ATV to TV

Hi Everyone, I’m spending much more time watching tv than usual due to the circumstances, this might be the reason why I have more questions than usual... Sometimes I watch some regular tv (TV internal decoder) from my Beoplay V1, then I switch to AppleTV Gen. 3 to watch some series. Everything is fine until I switch back to TV. When pressing the TV button on my Beo4, the screen turns black and the tv is displaying the “Impossible to decode” message, no matter which channel I am selecting. Subsequently
