  • Re: How to start with B & O

It depends what design you like and what mediums you need for playback or recording. Do you play vinyl? Do you play/record cassetes? Do you listen/record radio? Do you play cd's? A need for Iphone and os forth All of the above, none of the above or just 1 thing, 2 things? Lastly do you have space? Some vintage B&O can take up quite a bit.

That could mean: A Beomaster and a CD player. BM5500,6500,7000 Beo4 can work and you can get good matching cd players. I had the 6500. BM6000/BM8000 old classics early '80s with CDX. A great combination though to old for Beo4 unless you find a complete rare converter kit. I use this system myself BM4500 + CD4500 Beo4 friendly. With only 2 units space is not a problem BM3000/3300 + CD3300 non Beo4 Both 4500 and 3300 can be wall hanged Beocenter 8500,9500 and 9300 fully controlled by Beo4 or Beolink

Controlling lights could be done with Beolink 1000 and Beo4 can control lights and a whole loot of other things just check list or ad to list. You will see what I mean. The lights would need the LC1/2 units and power saving lights do not work. They come with an eye and is installed via the Beomaster/Beocenter were the light information is being stored. Speakers in another room is done by the now old master link or mcl link which came first. The mcl Xtra speakerkit for Beovox passive or Beolab active

To B&O fans part of it is the experience of it. Once you get used to it, you will notice why B&O is different. Old B&O, vintage B&O and new B&O all sounds great. There are a few not so good products and the older stuff might need a service to work right but it is always worth it in the end.

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen Blank Audio Cassette

I was fortunate to have 50 TDK MA-XG still sealed back in 2008. The seller told me he had 3 of those boxes with 50 each. I got the 50 he had for me and the adress on the box which I still have? Factory 4 Bang & Olufsen in Struer So they properly used metal tapes for calibration

  • Re: BG 6000 or BG 6002?

I'm the happy owner of a Beogram 6006 and it is a great match for the rest of the Beosystem 6000. I use my Beosystem 6000 a lot and it plays just as good as my former beogram 8002. I do use the mmc20cl pickup so it is basically the same as the 8000. The 6002 is a bit of a cheaper 8002 but it would proberly sound ok just not as wanted as the 6006,8000 and 8002 series

  • Re: Beogram 6006, won't turn the table.

Here we have my Beogram 6006. It also has been serviced by Dillen twice but it holds up quite well and sounds wonderful with a MMC20CL. This is original white edition in really good condition for its age. It came with the rest of Beosystem 6000 units back in late 2007 DOA.

  • Re: Your B&O story

Well I think there was an older thread like this maybe now in archived forum? Anyway my story begins B&O wise sort of starts when I was given a Beogram 1202 back in the late '90s I guess. Despite being a musician and caring about sounds it did not really translate to HIFI and such. Growing up both set of grandparents had B&O and I liked toying with it but the meaning of B&O when growing up was that is seemed to last as far as working right. So I had Beogram 1202 (I still have it somewhere

Thank you very much. Its been growing allright and properly the best places to read about living with old school B&O like Beosystems 6000 and 8000. It is funny but it never seemed to be about how expensive it might have been as it was always within pricerange of low income most of the time. Anyway I do have the pictures in photobucket as not all taken is in old school B&O thread. http://s114.photobucket.com/albums/n277/Friedmett/ That is public for all interested. Enjoy!

  • Re: Beovox S80.2 - skal have nye enheder
