• Beosound 9000 faulty laser unit

I won an auction the other day on a BS9000 MK.III. As I have a MK.I with a faulty laser, I chose to buy a newer model where spare parts are still available. As my luck would have it, the MK.III has the exact same problem, where the laser cannot focus :( I wanted to clean the laser and went into the service menu to move the light pen to the outermost position, but it does not move very far. My MK.I moved all the way to the edge as you would expect it to as it needs to be able to go to the edge of

  • Re: Connecting an Airport Express to a Beolab 3500/2000?
Hi Henrik! It is possible to connect an AE (or other input source like a Playmaker) to a BeoLab 2000/3500. This is many times discussed here on the forum. You will need a ML Converter box, type 1611, and a DIN cable for the source input. And a ML cable I have had this working for some time.
The thing is I wanted to pass the converter box completely if possible. I actually think I have one laying around somewhere, so maybe I should try that out to begin with

  • Connecting an Airport Express to a Beolab 3500/2000?

I was just brainstorming a bit regarding what to do with audio in my new house, as I find it a bit out of date to run Masterlink cables inside all of the walls in 2015. I know that there have been different modifications done to the Beolab 3500, but as I understand the Masterlink cable transfers a basic analog Right/Left and Ground audio signal, and if this is true, wouldn't it be possible to make a mini-Jack to these three pins? or is there some form of communication between the Beolab and the

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

I just bought a house (if all goes to plan), and I can't wait to setup my new living room with my home cinema. I'm so glad that I have kept most of my original boxes, which makes it easier to move my beloved speakers

  • Re: Beovision 9 or Beovision 7-55

Of course taste is an individual thing, but I would NEVER change my BV9 for anything else, as I don't feel any other TV comes close to the presence of the BV9. The way it "carries itself" almost like the original Avant does it all for me. I have never been a fan of the BV7 type TVs, that has to be on a stand or a wall and then have an external speaker underneath. I don't have much experience with the picture of the BV7, but I love the picture of my plasma panel.

  • Re: What is your best b&o purchase ?

Definitely my BeoVision 9. It was the only TV I saw as a worthy successor for my Avant, but I was afraid that I would be disappointed after spending that much money on a used tv. Well I have had it for over 3 years and I still smile every time I see it

  • Re: BeoVision AV5 with additional external speakers - can t be done?

Many years ago when I got my BL1's, they were connected to my AV5 through a Beolink Active box, so it can be done.

  • Re: BV11 AppleTV cable length

I can confirm that only one IR blaster came with the TV. Thanks for your replies. The TV now sits in my parents livingroom and my dad loves it That being said, I wish my BV9 was so easy to add PUCs to. I still haven't come to terms with the fact that I need to pay a technician 1.500DKR (app. 200EUR) to update mine everytime I get a new device

  • Re: BV11 AppleTV cable length

Thanks for your replies. I was not aware that the compartment is intended for the hinge motor, that's interesting. I have heard a lot about this Apple TV compartment, but could not find anything about it in the user guide, but that makes total sense if it's not originally intended for it I will buy a thin 1 meter cable. Thanks again
