• Re: Beo 4 remote transferring inner parts into new one.

Thanks very much, just to clarify and apologies for bothering you again, are you saying that purchasing the screen only will fix the problem?

Thanks very much for that, much appreciated. I have uploaded a photo of the break in the plastic surround. Is this the plastic around the edge of the screen that you are referring to? I do thing it looks a mess, so I hope I can do something about it. Thanks for your advice

  • Beo 4 remote transferring inner parts into new one.

I have had my Sat model Beo4 for many years, ever since my Beovision 3 days in fact. Some years ago I replaced the rubber keypad to keep it looking fresh but now the black plastic frame at the top which surrounds the screen has broken and split leaving quite a gap which looks very unsightly (IMO!). My question is, would there be anything preventing me from buying a newish looking (or new even) Beo 4 and transferring all the inner parts into the new shell? You may be thinking why not just buy a good

The Netherlands entry was fantastic, should have won. The best song by a mile. I've already downloaded it. But I am a country music fan, so maybe I'm biased!!

  • Re: Freesat EPG missing on BeoVision 11

It may or may not be associated with the recent satellite and transponder changes. Although I have Freesat, it's a separate box, so I can't really advise on one incorporated within your TV, but is there there a way you can access the satellite menu? If so, check on the internet what the transponder settings are for the Freesat EPG and check that the same settings are in your satellite menu setup. I know a reset and satellite search on a stand alone box can often restore the full EPG, but
Be aware, there are strict regulations regarding 230Vac use in a bathroom. Bathroom areas are defined in zones. Please Google and you will find enough information.
Not here in Spain! First shock (no pun intended) when moving here was to see mains switches and sockets on the bathroom wall!
People are still buying Beo4 because it is simply more ergonomic ... i think it is nearly perfect, as long as you don't have to write text with it.
Spot on! Touch screen tablets as remotes are terrible!

  • Re: Beosound 5 Encore Wi fi connection issue

Disclaimer first, I know nothing out the Beosound 5. However, have you tried switching off the printer completely? Does the beo5 now connect to wifi? If not try re-booting the router. Then if no luck go into wireless router settings and switch to no security encryption, then see if BeoSound connects. If it does, at least you've then narrowed it down to your router's security settings. Have you changed router settings to a type of encryption that the Beosound does not recognise - eg WEP, WAP

  • Re: Cleaning your records with wood glue

The pops, crackles and clicks together with the odd scratch was part of life when the only choice was vinyl records (or later cassette tapes). The laborious and time consuming cleaning ritual performed before playing a record took much of the pleasure away, because by the time the record was 'clean', I'd used up much of my "peace and quiet time" with little time left to enjoy the music. Oh the joy therefore when the CD came along, no background noise, track selection, shuffle

  • Re: Beocom 6000

Are you saying it's only the display at fault? When you call the phone and it rings, can you answer the call? Can you make outgoing calls on it? Is there a dial tone?
