• Beocom 6000 - damn flashing light!

I have message alert set up on my Beocom 6000. Yesterday I came home and the red light on the handset was flashing red. Sure enough I had a message waiting which I subsequently deleted. After this I had no messages waiting in my system, but the light continued to flash. Following what I believed to be the procedure to stop the flashing light I pressed the message button below the screen and at position number 1 was displayed an asterisk next to "MSG WAITING". The procedure I have tried

  • New DTV Beo4 operating differently than old one

I have just bought a near perfect condition Beo4 on eBay. It's the DVT model whereby my old one was the Sat model which worked fine but was looking a bit marked. All works fine with my TV and stereo, lights etc, but I've come across one problem. Before, if I was in A.Tape or Radio mode I could press the LIST button and access options for bass, treble, loudness. When I press LIST now in Radio and A.Mem Modes all I get displayed are "Stand, Random & Speaker". How do I now access

  • Re: Beo 4 - a single remote to control your entire home??
Well partly true, provided you use it with B&O or Lintronic equipment capable of controlling other equipment
Like being "Partly Pregnant" then? Still believe the statement is somewhat disingenuous, misleading or at the very least confusing. Thanks anyway!

  • Beo 4 - a single remote to control your entire home??

Apologies if this has been raised before, but I read this on the B&O site regarding the Beo4:- "A single remote to control your entire home With Beo4 you have a remote terminal that makes all others unnecessary.Control virtually any external device: DVD, Blu-ray, NAS, digital receivers or Apple TV, or even your fireplace, alarm or curtains. If you want to put it all together in one place, we provide the only remote you need for your entire home." Has something changed, perhaps on newer

  • Re: Why no vertical blind control?

I don't know if Lintronic provide this but I do know they deal in home automation systems. I have experimented with electric control of vertical blinds without much success I have to say. The main reason I have to admit is that I have tried to achieve it on a budget! I did try one automated system which was very cheap, noisy and pretty useless I have to say. I have now gone back to a manual system of opening and closing my very wide vertical blinds. The main "problem" with vertical

  • Re: Beocom 6000 - visual indication of message received possible?

Thanks for that, missed the reference to that in the manual! One "problem" now though, I have accessed the menu and set the alert to "on" but now the red LED on the handset is flashing continuously! Is this correct or is this signalling something else? BTW, I had a message on the system which I was unaware of and thought this was the reason for the LED flashing. I have now deleted the message, but the light still flashes! Any ideas? Thanks again. Further After exhaustive testing

  • Beocom 6000 - visual indication of message received possible?

We have had a Beocom 6000 telephone for some years and have been very satisfied with both it´s performance and appearance. One thing though which has always frustrated us is this. Our telephone company provides a telephone answering service (which was free, but is now chargeable!) and to determine whether there is a message or we´ve had any call in our absence it´s necessary to lift the handset, listen to the dialing tone for several seconds after which a voice tells us whether

Thanks very much, just to clarify and apologies for bothering you again, are you saying that purchasing the screen only will fix the problem?
