• Re: What is this?

Very cool and lovely. Clicks all the traditional B&O Values boxes. Much better than LG rollup version. Agree with @Puncber in can't imagine stand alone audio will be very special, but that customer can afford to add any speakers they want. Can B&O translate that to other sizes so dealers will be willing to build inventory?

OK everyone - we aren't allowed to comment or speculate until we've seen it ..... MM says so!!!
As I have said before, you can comment on anything and in whatever way, you like.....no problems there. But - on the other hand - isn’t it legitimate to ask how someone can comment on the sound, when he hasn’t even heard that tv,....or am I not allowed to do so 😉 MM
Using that logic, how do you

  • Re: BeoSound 2 versus A9
Not easy to find a very powerful portable speaker to match the A9. I don't think it exists! The old BS8 or A8? I still own a BS8 and it's really powerful. However, i didnot listen to the BeoSound 2.
The A8 was a great system. If there was a optical input it would also be very nice TV speaker today. The A9 could evolve even more to different size and lighter weight. Circles are more attractive and practical market than hexagons. BeoLab 12 (? the smallest

  • Re: What is going on with B&O’s current TV lineup?

@ MM said it all here: ‘ Not really ’: Do you really think they are dumb, these guys in Struer - it seems that you do. * They are certainly not dumb but anyone looking at both sides would question their "collective" intelligence and stability, as market feedback would suggest. You refer to "guys" but they seem to be marketing to "girls and 20-somethings", not other "guys" who, by the way, are by far the primary drivers for A/V (and car and watch

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen announces preliminary financial results for the third quarter

An interesting take on Loewe's strategy to survive in the luxury space, assuming that they will, long term. Here is one quote but the article is worth a look. “Hisense is a partner with Loewe only in a small way, and only in the bild 1. However the bild 1 is 80% made by Loewe and Loewe only. We only use their panel, while the engine, power supply, chassis and circuitry is all Loewe proprietary, the software utilises the Loewe OS software which provides seamless connectivity to all Loewe
I know nothing, but a guess New line of beovision 77" and 88" OLED, With a magic moving speaker. Not cheap at all. Lets see :)
Whatever it is will have to be EXTREMELY precious/special to justify the quality and content of what already appears in that picture.

He is correct that BV's have always been some multiple and that this is not new. Where he is entirely wrong is that things are going well.
25% sales increase for Eclipse on a year-for-year compare is exceptional in this market. @Sandby - what is good to you if that is not going well? FACTS please.
FACTS? After your earlier post I read the earnings warning again and saw different things than you. Revenue down but

Yes, there are people on this board who can encourage you to look on the sunny side. Not being one of them, I would suggest you plant a stinger on their Social Media site..or ask Razlaw to let you use his Batphone.

" No center image at all, they were mixed with everything panned right or left so by god you'd know you had a stereo!" @Jeff. So funny. I remember playing The Beatles' "Hello Goodbye" 45 on my brother's first stereo and freaked out because the vocals were in 1 channel and the strings were in the other. Decades later we know the Beatles catalog was remixed in lightning speed from mono to charge a bit extra.

The full webcast is worth a listen if you have a spare thirty minutes.
IMO that is what anyone, who wants to comment, ought to do.....but - I fear - haven’t done (yet). MM
So unless one has heard the unplanned but scripted webcast, one should not comment? OK. B&O has experienced nearly 60% loss of book value in 3 months, in 2 huge lots. No need to comment on THAT.
