• Re: Can B&O survive? Maybe soon?

Bno is not doing the right way. Its the Danish way of understatement to the point that the value/benefit/attraction to the product is boiled away. The home office is so cheap that hey will not spend for HBO on the cable feed. Nor do they connect an outdoor HD antenna. Sheesh!

  • Re: My BV-7 55 Cannot Decode Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Sound

Geoff: re Sound Guide Fantastic! This is the first time I've seen such an easy-to-follow, comprehensive guide to all the capabilities and sophistication in a B&O system. I hope the portends the future for all new guides. Also: When can I expect an upgrade containing the same capabilities to my BS3. I've already upgraded it once, for the more advanced DSP stuff. The BS3 alone is more expensive than any version of the V1, so i would sorta expect no less than these capabilities for the investment

  • Re: B&O would like our feedback....
I miss a section for Multiroom features for both audio and video. I fear the next gen beonet is not goong to happen (multiroon audio and video distribution), and by the look of it new product laks ML. I recently asked B&O customer service about the roumered converter between ML and beonet and they told me it was cancelled..... Thomas
Cancelling the converter shouldn't be a problem if a revised MLGW supplies the same functionality. B

  • Re: Beolab 9s not impressing me

In a similar set up save swapping the 9s for my penta IIs and a BV9, i found usibg 2chl music (no center) best for balancing placement re: room chain/suckout, soundstage and personal preference. Be sure to iterate timing and amplitude with each trial. I do prefer music in 2chanel in my present setup.

  • Re: White BeoLab 12

I could envision a floor stand with a styled rear baffle. Certainly aluminum, with either a conplimentary or contrastong color scheme. Perhaps even different shapes, depending on desired tweeter height/position. In my overall ignorance, lots of possibilities!

  • Re: Beosound 5 and HD music files

The Absolute sound had a series of 4-6 articles discussing the all-about computer audi, formats, bit rates, mastering, ripping, storing, cabling, powering, etc., in the last 6 months. I personally found it to be fascinating. Look at issues 11/11, 12/11, 01/12, 02/12, 03/12 and 06/12 (especially revealing about what goes on/goes wrong before you get tat CD or computer file. Very technical, but not behind most here. Does anyone know where I can get a definitive listing of the exact audio formats supported

  • Re: The new BeoLab 12-2 revealed

Geoff: Sorry to jump in and detour this thread, but can you point us to a contact/email point to get specific answers to technical questions on what specifically type of audio formats and exactly how they're handled on the BS5/BM5? I can't seem to get the type of specific answer i desire locally here in the states? Thanks. Barry

  • Re: B&O Idea Catalogue

So help me see if I've got my own system straight: 1. My BV9 w/attached PL Speakers = DIgital Media Renderer, is controlled by 2. My BS5 = Digital Media Controller, which together with 3. My BM5 (which solo is = Digital Media Server) functions as a pair which = Digital Media Player. Do I have this right? B
