• Re: New / Update H8i and H9i

Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to share some lovely pics and your impressions of these lovely headphones. I'm most certainly interested in them, as I think for a stylish, very well featured and lovely sounding headphone for travel purposes they would sit at or near the top of any B&O owners or even audiophiles list. As you also own a pair of H6's I was wondering if you are able to comment on the different sonic signatures between the H6 & H9? Many thanks again.. :-

  • Re: Cleaning Beolab 9

To minimise the need for cleaning and also to protect against UV, when I bought my Beolab 9's I also bought a pair of the B&O supplied quilted covers for them - they just slip on and off as needed and look very elegant - its possible they might still be available. Personally I wouldn't be without them as they keep the speakers looking pristine and were not unduly expensive to buy. Cheeers John..

  • Re: LifeStyle AV - Now Closed

Very upsetting to hear the sad news Lee. I know that you have been a huge help and friend to many B&O aficionados around the world. I trust that whatever new direction you take, it will lead to prosperity and happiness All the best to you and yours and wishing you all the best John :-)

  • Re: BeoLab 50

Well Geoffs youtube videos aren't locked as 'private' anymore, and the speaker is up on B&Os official website, along with a couple of marketing videos. I'm sorry to have to swim against the tide, but from the photos and measurements, I REALLY like the design aesthetically. There are echoes of both modern and traditional B&O design elements that make it a timeless design in a modern home in my view. To be sure, less iconic and 'futuristic' as the Beolab 5 - but I know

  • Re: Beolab 5 & 3 The final Editions
I finally received the e-mail from B&O advertising the Final Edition to their iconic products. The Final Edition is a truly good way of sending off the speakers to End Of Life.
Ditto. I sincerely hope they replace the Beolab 3 with an updated version - WISA for example. Hugely underrated speakers the Lab 3's - coupled with a sub they can easily rival many passive full range speakers from mainstream audiophile brands - B&W for example -

  • Re: H6 vs H9
The two do sound different, but 'best' is probably a matter of personal taste. The H9 sound closer to the H6 v2 than the H6 v1. You also have the option of adjusting the sound to your preference using the BeoPlay app when using the H9... I haven't experienced any dropout issues with the H9, but nor have I experienced any with my H8 since the original pair were replaced. Martin.
Interesting to hear, as both these phones would be the ones in B&O's

  • Re: New TV. Time for a change?

Hi Simon Just an slight addition to my post, as I don't wish to give out inccorect information; and for the sake of curiosity and accuracy, I re-checked the technical sound guides for my V1-40 as regards bass redirection for connected Beolab speakers (this information really applies to the surround sound processing within the TV, rather than the TV itself) and cross checked with the technical sound guide for the Horizon. Sure enough, running say Beolab 9's with a Beolab 2 or 19, low bass
Thanks John, yes your post does help a lot and I am in agreement that the Horizon 48" is the better tv so I'll let the dealer I am buying from know during the week. I must admit I do like the look for the Horizon, especially how it sits on top of a table/base unit as pictured. It would be interesting to know if the Horizon produces a better picture than a BV11, say a 2014/2015 model for example. Wonder if anyone has made any side by side comparisons
Thanks for your thoughts John. I wonder, given what you have said, would you still choose the Horizon over the BV11-46 then? I guess I would be spending the same amount for either. The Horizon offers 4K plus an extra 2" screen size and a newer panel, which is backlit albeit global dimming that is not anywhere as good as full dimming 512+ zones that the former BV7-55 Mark 2 utilised. Having thought it through a bit more, I will probably buy 2 x BL3s on floor

BAND'OH, let us know what your thoughts are after reading some of these replies.
Well firstly, fantastic that there has been so much discussion, which I hope continues. At this stage of the thread and having read all contributions, I am currently thinking about buying a second hand BV11-46 to tie me over for the next few years. I am moving home and space is going to be an issue with the new living room being smaller than
