• Re: B&O Play TV coming this quarter

I'm truly excited by this TV, and if it fulfils the promise re the photos and specs, and 'sensible' pricing, I think it will be the TV that will convince me to finally scratch the B&O itch that has been nagging me for ages, by buying one! I have three queries I hope Steve at Sounds Heavenly may be able to answer, or others who may be more knowledegable than I about the B&O scheme of things. Will it have a digital HD TV tuner suitable for the Australian market? Is the remote control

...before being outmoded by forthcoming developments such as OLED.
I'm seriously surprised people are worrying about OLED in May 2012. Mass-market OLED TVs are some way off yet. Until they become mass market, B&O won't implement the panels. A B&O OLED TV is years away and certainly will be a **lot** more expensive than a V1. If you're considering a V1, and are debating the cost-effectiveness of a V1, OLED TVs
John, I like your posts, they are most thoughtful and considered. In particular ...
And importantly, unless you fancy having two separate systems in a home - one for music and one for AV/movies, then a TV in lieu of a projector becomes the centrepiece in an combined music/AV system. Here, the V1 with it's inbuilt surround sound processor, and active speaker system able to double as a centre channel speaker in an AV role, provides
Interesting. My dealer confirmed today that the V1 is.....made in Denmark!
Really? Goodness, that'll give the dissenters something to chew over... Brilliant that they can produce it there at the price they have... Best Regards John...
Thank you for the responses to my question about connecting the BC2 to the V1. I do indeed wish to play CDs on the BC2 which are connected to BL3s and BL11. As I understand it from the comments here, this will not work if connected to the V1. This is contrary to what the dealer told me. Cheers
Goodness, I'm a bit lost on this as a potential V1 purchaser. As I understand it from the B&O scheme of wiring, you could run SPDIF from the BC2 to the V1 (I assume
Does it have the capability to provide a signal to a projector via an HDMI out, and then blank out its own screen?
As I'm very interested in one (V1) I've been studying the manual, along with one for a Sony Bravia for comparison purposes and to learn what the V1 can and can't do. I've not read anything to indicate an HDMI out. On the other hand, something like an Oppo BD93/95 has two HDMI outs; so one could go to the projector for video,
