• Re: Beolab 1 black - is it worth it without Beolab 2?

    I love my 1s without a sub.
At that cost, I'm sure you'd regret not jumping on that offer! The BL1 really does benefit from having a BL2. A BL2 would be a great future addition. Something else to consider is that the BL1's make good surround speakers due to their height. When I got my BL9s, I made the BL9s the front speakers and moved the BL1s to be surround speakers. So you can always find good uses to re-purpose the BL1s.
I had the exact same setup.....9s with 1s in the
Thanks Max, hope there will be a test in due time where the 28’s are compared to 50’s and especially the room adjustment capabilities. I find it hard to tune my 19 in my room for good bass reproduction due to my room acoustics. It is either too soft or too hard, depending on where I sit in the room. I assume with 50’s I can compensate this, for 28’s not so sure. BV Eclipse 55 Brass - BL 18 Brass - BL 19 Brass - BL17 Black - BL 3 White - BS Moment - BS 2 Brass -
There is no mic calibration like Beolab 50 and 90 but from my information it may become a future update to have that functionality. At the moment they tune themselves like Beosound Balance, Level and Emerge by sending a tone and measuring the response with their own internal mics. They are no BeoLab 50 but damn, they are so impressive. Like a lovely half way point between BeoLab 18/19 and BeoLab 50. Stayed late in the shop today listening between 28/50 and 90. BeoLab

  • Re: Streaming Audio Quality, Harmony vs Core
If anyone wants my opinion, i personally think it’s kind of pointless. Just use the harmony/eclipse. The streaming guts inside are basically the same but i don’t know if they’re exactly the same. But it made next to no difference to my ears, output depending a little but that comes down to tuning and attenuation for the signal more than anything else.
I had the opportunity today to see and hear the BL28’s. Rather impressed by the sound and also the looks and build quality. Of course I need more listening time to say more about the sound quality, but it is a familiar sound....when you are used to the newer speakers from B&O. As for the looks (in real life!) - it is new, different, however definitely what I do expect from B&O (I expect them to try out new things, that draws on the heritage - but adds

  • Re: Streaming Audio Quality, Harmony vs Core
Using a core in tandem with Beolab 50 or 90 will produce far better results than through a soundcenter or BV as they then use their built in superior DAC and full sound processing. Sadly no Beovision or Soundcenter today allows digital signals to these speakers so for full quality experience please use a core or any other streaming device with a digital output (which then sends a completely unaltered signal to the speakers - meaning even a 50 dollar streamer is better

  • Eclipse Fixed Floor Stand

Anybody have experience with the Eclipse fixed floor stand? Any issues with it? Can cables be run through the vertical post or is there any other type of cable management with it?
