  • Re: Help with beosound 9000 & multiroom with 3rd party tv on aux-in

Thanks for the advice Steve, I was in touch with via email last month re ML cable :) I think what I will do for now is link the BS9000 to the receiver via digital coax and masterlink it to the other ML products. Are you saying the beolab 8000 speakers could be connected to the denon A/V receiver? Just checked and it does indeed have pre-outs. It also has a switched A/C outlet rated max 1000W. Rob.

Thanks for the reply MM. I presume if I had a NL b&o TV and the NL converter, the TV would be able to play CDs from the BS 9000? Would the remote ML speakers be able to play the TV source? I also want to add in a Chromecast Audio, in that set-up would it go into the AUX of the BS9000 or the AUX of the NL/ML converter? Many thanks, Rob.

  • Help with beosound 9000 & multiroom with 3rd party tv on aux-in

Hi all, I've recently purchased a beosound 9000 which I will be mounting in the living room. I don't yet have b&o speakers for the lounge, instead an A/V receiver, passive speakers and a samsung tv connected to the receiver. The tv's internal speakers are disabled and always uses the receiver for sound output. I also have a BV 6 in another room which I would connect to the 9000 via masterlink and may possibly get a beosound 3500 for the bedroom, again masterlink. I'd like to get

  • Re: Beolink gateway (BLGW) control events and ML control

Hi Luke, Thanks for the reply and help. That is certainly interesting, but as you say an expensive solution. I've looked at the Lintronic converter before but was disappointed to not see an ethernet or wifi connection for triggering http events. Am I right in thinking the Lintronic also needs the B&O IR eye connected as the IR receiver? A raspberry Pi with B&O IR eye may be the more cost effective solution for acting on remote presses but wouldn't be able to emit unlike the lintronic

Hi Steven, Thanks for the reply, I look forward to hearing back on whether it can react to a remote press events on masterlink outside of light mode - thanks for offering to check this for me. Incidentally today my Roku Express device updated and now has Spotify connect.. I have the Roku plugged into my BV11 and is accessible to my ML products via the NL/ML converter.. amazingly I am able to control the spotify playback from ML link rooms with the beo4 remote when on the source! The only downside

  • Beolink gateway (BLGW) control events and ML control

Hi, can the BLGW trigger an event based on a command such as next track on a particular source? I want to be able to capture next & previous remote button presses whilst on AUX (which is my chromecast) to trigger an http event to the chromecast to skip track. I have had confirmation that this is not possible on the older MLGW but wondered if it's successor can. Also can the BLGW independently control masterlink products like it can with NL products? Can it identify ML devices and turn them

  • Re: Masterlink Gateway

Much appreciated. It sounds like the MLGW might fit the bill then with the addition of scripts! You mentioned custom strings are send to your script which then makes the http post.. is the MLGW configured to trigger your script with all ML notifications, or do you need a custom string entered for each trigger/button press? Am I right in thinking the python script connects to the MLGW over telnet? Homeseer can receive http get requests with query strings for triggering events or changing device status

  • Re: Masterlink Gateway

Thanks for the reply. Yes i can access the correct aux source using the beo4 on my setup from any room, so with your MLGW and script can you capture any remote button key press on any source and trigger a custom string http post or is it limited to Light commands only? regarding your issue, it sounds like the beocenter is taking precedence on the masterlink network being a source centre. You might be able to select beosound 5's aux using Link + A.Aux. Rob.

  • Re: Writing a driver versus using custom strings - Homeseer

Hi Simon, How did you get on with this? I'm also a homeseer user and am starting to explore b&o integration options. I currently have the ha-bridge software running locally (a hue bridge emulator) for integrating alexa with homeseer (avoiding myhs), perhaps it could be used to expose homeseer lights to the BLGW? Does the older MLGW support Hue? Many thanks, Rob.

  • Re: Masterlink Gateway

Hi Frog, Thinking about getting a MLGW with the idea of integrating with my homeseer home automation set-up (lights etc), and also be able to control my chromecast playback on A.Aux with Play, Next & Prev button presses on the beo4 over masterlink.. do you know if it's possible to capture these beo4 commands on the MLGW? Homeseer can control the chromecast via http posts, so I ideally would like to get the MLGW to fire the http url whenever the relevant buttons are pressed on the beo4 while
