• Re: Replacement Woofers for S45-2

Out of curiosity, do you know what the T/S specs are for it and would you share them?

  • Re: Some good news for a change....

To be fair I think poodleboy has a point. B&O has gone through a period of late where they basically didn't seem to have an integrated, planned out approach to product development but seemed to be throwing things against the wall to see if they stick. This has resulted in a lot of orphaned products, with no support, and a lot of buggy and poorly designed/performing products (Playmaker anyone? Moment?). B&O has kind of been thrashing around trying to get their feet under them again, and
I'll echo what Steve says. A new store is opening - as opposed to another one closing... which is good news. I've always wanted B&O to make it to 100 Years. I sincerely hope they do. Lee
I'd like to see that too, even if their product line is full of things I no longer desire, the longevity would be nice to see. One of the older companies over here is Klipsch, which dates to 1946. Old firms like RCA and such are much, much changed even if the

A BeoCenter 2000 or 2002, from 1979-1982. https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=389
Ah that’s the first piece of B&O I ever owned as a student. Nice to see the pic.
One thing that always impressed me was how B&O could take the concept of an all in one stereo from the usual mass market department store junk most of them were to a work of art design statement. I guess that came from the philosophy

Well, it's been D something, what was the word I was looking for? Disappointing, denouement, depressing, dumpster fire? Something like that.

  • Re: What Are You Reading Now?

Still working my way through "Unrestricted Warfare" and I'm finding it incredibly informative and completely unpleasant, as I can see the things it talks about happening not only now but being applied over the past couple of decades. In a way it's like reading "Mein Kampf," just like with that tome we were told in explicit terms what was being planned and no one paid any attention to it.
Venice Classic, thanks!
I just checked using the TuneIn app on my Tibo (the iPhone app for it), Venice Classic Radio works. Nice, they're playing harp music right now. So, thanks for the roundabout recommendation! I hadn't found this one yet.

  • Re: Beosound 9000: Which is the healthiest position for the CD mechanism?

Hi, which is the healthiest position for a Beosound 9000 to keep the CD mechanism alive as long as possible?
Best position is horizontal hanging on the wall. Next will be flat on the table. Avoid vertical on stand or vertical on the table stand, if you want your BS9000 to play as long as possible.
Great, after 22 years of using mine vertically on the wall or floor stand, now somebody tells me.

  • Re: What are you WATCHING "right now' ?

I'm 5 episodes into the new season now, and it's very good. Takes the story in a slightly different direction, not just constant trying to evade capture for the heroine, but very good psychological piece in a way. Late night a science fiction streaming channel here, Comet, has started showing episodes of "Lexx." Truly one of the most creative and deranged shows I've ever seen, quite humorous and clever.
