  • Re: Playmaker 2020

One of the biggest downsides of the Playmaker is that they are too light to make an effective doorstop.

  • Re: Beolink Wireless

I've had the Beolink Wireless 1's and here's my experience: 1. All units must have the same software version. I had a dealer friend, or should I say now ex dealer friend, use the s/w tool to make sure they were all the same. It's something a dealer has to do using a special tool, but I don't know more than that. 2. They operate on the 2.4 GHz area of the spectrum, but are not wifi but share spectrum with it. I'd advise if possible moving everything else you have to the 5 GHz

I'm a big fan of the cyberpunk genre in both books and films, but I have to say what was really refreshing about "Upload" was that it had a sense of humor while making its social commentary. Often cyberpunk stories are grindingly dark, depressing, and dystopian. I like that stuff most of the time, but it was a delight to see it done without that for once. "The Widow" is on my list, need to get to that soon. Of course by now about everything is on my list, my queue is huge

  • Re: Beolab 18 vs Beolab Penta

Having never heard the two together, I'd still say I'd expect the following: The Pentas will have more/deeper bass The Pentas will be far less picky about how far you sit away or how whether you are standing or how tall your listening chair is The BL18s will be prettier, and new so hopefully less probability of failures Hard to say on the rest.

  • Re: LG GX + Stage is here, some initial feedback

[quote user="poodleboy"] [quote user="trackbeo"] Took 'em a while, but finally LG is selling their GX-matching soundbar. You might argue about its "design language" (kangaroo pouch) versus the Stage, but I like it: identical width, matching edge profile & vertical close-mount giving an integrated look. 65" only, wallmount only (but that's the point of a GX). Comes with a separate "wireless" "sub"woofer -- required, obviously, with

  • Re: Replacement Woofers for S45-2

I was hoping Dillen might know them. If I had a woofer I could measure it, if I could remember where I put my TS measurement dongle that is. What a wonderful gadget that is, turns what used to be an hours long experience, at least for me with the old signal generators I had that drifted, into a 10 minute task.
