  • Re: Beogram turntable connection advise needed

It depends on which Beogram you have. Some have an RIAA preamp built in and others require an external preamp. Which model did you get?

  • Re: Wiring for shielded 2 pin DIN speaker connection

Ok, so it was easy. You just tie the shield to the negative wire at both ends. Now, no hum after shutting off or muting the speakers.

Thanks Steve, I was more curious on how the shielded two pin connection was terminated when using a non B&O system.

  • Wiring for shielded 2 pin DIN speaker connection

I hooked up my Beolab Penta 2 speakers to my BS5000. I just used 2 pin DIN connectors tied to the speaker outputs on the BM but I have a buzz for a few seconds when I turn the system off or hit mute. It goes away when the speakers auto turn off. Otherwise, everything is just fine and noise free. The Penta owner’s manual says you could use shielded 2, 3, or 4 pin DIN connections. So my question is how are you to wire a 2 pin DIN connector with shielded speaker wires? Do you terminate shield to the

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen in 2018....

I spoke with a salesperson in a local Best Buy that they will start carrying B&O in their Magnolia Home Theater stores in 2018. So that means slightly elevated exposure for B&O Play at the very least, but not at huge discount, since they will only be at select stores. Maybe the exposure will be able to direct more sales toward the local dealer for the mainline products?

  • Re: Have we reached 'Peak' B&O?

[quote user="Peter"] My house is very old fashioned - cluttered and very little matches - I have B&O because I like it, not to impress anyone. Most of it is over 30 years old anyway! But I think it all fits in very well and the pictures I see on this site shows others enjoying the products in the way they like. I do know what Moxxey means - having a room without character or personality is not going to be improved by a random lump of B&O - but I certainly do not want to live in

  • Re: Have we reached 'Peak' B&O?

Getting back to the original post question, I am concerned about the current design language. As was mentioned earlier, will anyone desire the Essence or Moment in a few years like they do the Lewis and Jensen designs? What app are you going to use in twenty years to control your whole home system? No timelessness. I’m not sure I can appreciate the current product vision. Maybe things were easier ten and twenty years ago, but sadly, I think we’ve seen the peak. I hope I’m wrong about that.

  • Re: Is there women in this forum ?

Had to share this. A few weeks ago I told my wife I’d like to get a pair of Pentas, but I was concerned she may not like them because they are so tall. A week later she told me “I found a pair of them for on Craig’s list for $360. Let’s get them!” Last week she went on the 3 hour round trip with me to pick them up and even helped me get them into the van. One of a kind?

  • Re: Flash your B&O - new thread!

One of my new Beolab Penta 2 temporally in front of the Vandersteen 2Ci it will replace. One non-working display, all the mid surrounds need replacing, and one needs three rubber feet, but otherwise excellent.
