  • Beogram 8500 (Stripping, Parts for sale)

I don't know what happened, but my last forum got deleted/link got broken and I now cannot access it. I have a Beogram 8500 which I bought 2 weeks ago. Im not happy with the way it runs so I've decided to strip it for parts. Everything is for sale apart from the motor, someone on the forum that I can now no longer access was asking for the motor but I have decided to hang onto it to keep my replacement 3500 running for longer. If anyone would like anything please inbox me with what you would

  • Beogram 8500 grinding noise

As to my previous forum. I rescently got my first beogram with speakers and amp. I ended up going with the Beomaster 3500. Beovox S45’s and a Beogram 8500. I got the Beogram today, and it is making a grinding noise. It changes as the arm goes down the record and you can hear the noise through the speakers at high volume. If you adjust the arm using the left and right switches it gets to a certian point where it starts making the noise. I removed the platter and it makes the same noise with

  • Choosing my first Beogram and Speakers

Hi everyone! I have recently started getting back into vinyl. The sound it has produces has bitten me again and its just a totally different way of listening to music. Especially in this busy world of streaming.I have been searching about after having a couple hours read up about which one to get. And I have found a couple very nice 3300's for sale. Both with MMC4 cartridges https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bang-Olifsen-B-O-Beogram-3300-WITH-MMC4-Cartridge-Excellent-Condition/302994136829?hash=item468bdb9efd

THREE question which could swing me to getting an Avant. Does the Mk1 have HDMI 2.0? Even though it doesn't have Web OS. Does it have its own built in software for viewing youtube and such? Do the older TV's have integrated WIFI allowing control through the B&O mobile app?

I never thought it would be this hard to choose a new BeoVision ;) Now I'm in the mind of better PQ or the convenience of Android. I wish B&O hadn't ditched local dimming. it was truly amazing! and when I look at something like a BV7 again theres just something about the picture quality of that TV which is awesome! Any suggestions to help me with my decision?

I do quite like the convenience of having the apps built into the TV. I have an Apple TV, but the youtube player is garbage and always tries to optimise the video for best quality and never plays (our internet is 4mb download, shocking I know) when you want it to. Im happy with the PQ of the Horizon, but the BV14/Avant have always to my mind had better black levels as it is. I think the removal of the contrast screen unmasks this flaw. Obviously the Eclipse will no pun intended 'Eclipse all the

Decisions decisions! I haven't noticed any software issues on the Horizon. Its actually been pretty robust from the horror stories I have heard. I guess I bought into it late. its been on the wall since July and its not caused me any bother. The TV's will be linked to an S8 set up anyway. And I know both aforementioned TV's have better sound than the Horizon anyway. From what I know, and I think it may be a contradiction from your previous statement that the 14 uses a different panel
