  • Re: Beosound 5 App

I contemplated downloading last night. . Raz what did you find out about the whole home set up? Does it work through/with MLGW and RadioRa2? That looked very cool! The app looks pretty good if it works without drop outs. . what are you all using for a router?

  • Re: 3s, 5s, or 9s?

I currently have 5s up front with 3s in the back. I did have the chance to audition 9s. NO QUESTION go for 5s in the front. the rears get a LOT MORE sound than you'd think. .. and the increased 'experience' in movies is dramatic. I would pick up 9s for my surrounds today if I could get my hands on some. and. when you listen to music with 9s in the rear and choose 4 speakers the difference is VERY noticeable! 5s all the way!!!!

  • Should I replace a BV9 with a BV11 55?

Mates, I have a BV9 currently, not an ACM model. Absolutely no complaints about it. In fact, the contrary I still very much enjoy it. However, I need a new tele for the master bedroom. Currently have a 3rd party panel there. Was considering purchasing a BV11-55 for the main room and relocating the BV9 to the master bedroom. I know the obvious advantages of 3d and SmartTV. . i fear that the sound of the BV11 will be inferior. . I have the BV9 connected to beolab 5s and beolab 3s and fear that the

  • Re: Should I replace a BV9 with a BV11 55?

I have waivered on the issue much as most of you are. It does appear that it is a lateral step at best. . The technology has improved but as it was stated here, I'm moving from top of the range to entry level. . maybe it doesn't make sense? the better investment is maybe a second hand bv10-40 for the bedroom and move on. . I have lab 8k and lab2 in the bedroom so sound from the bv10 is not a huge concern, stereo only, no surround

  • Masterlink Help Needed

Mates, I currently have a BV4-65 in the main room with a BV9 in my bedroom. I also have Beolab3500, beolink active, (bv10 coming soon) on the ML network. I do have a masterlink gateway connected as well. My questions are: what benefit do I get in putting the BV9 on the ML network? with a new(ish) non 3D bsys 3 do I still have to use analog in to distribute sound? can the BSYS3 distribute video signal?

  • Need Help with Audio Master Set Up

Mates, I have a BV4 and no audio master on the link system. I am trying to set up some way to stream audio through the ML network without having to use an apple tv/v.mem. The idea is to be able to trigger an audio command throughout the network and stream audio through that device over the network. Is there any way to do this? I tried using a beoport and selecting N.Music but to no avail. I was told that and ML/MCL converter could act as an audio master. . .does anyone have any experience with this

  • Re: In home demo of Beolab 5s, with 9s.

I have enjoyed following your experience with the 5s. I have a pair with 3s in the rear and LOVE them. I use them as Speaker 2 when listening to music and they quite simply blow me away. I have a close friend with 9s and 3s and can tell you that there is a noticeable difference that only time can reveal. The LFE (in movies/explosions/etc) is stunning with the 5s. I have paired the 9s with them in the rears as a demo -- - WOW unfortunately, couldn't pull the trigger on the 9s i ended up buying

  • Re: Integrating Playmaker into Master Link setup

I just replaced an airport express as an a.aux with a playmaker and use it to play spotify/pandora, etc over the ML network. It's a definite upgrade. In this scenario I think it's a good add to the ml system. The rj45 to RCA cable cost me 34 bucks. It is nice. I think the dac in the playmaker is better than the AE. just my .02

  • Re: MLGW help needed

It turned out to be much easier. i send the v.aux command as an audio command (in the mlgw) and voila. . no screen and audio comes on useful to distribute apple tv/roku, etc. sound. when is the bs3 going to distribute hdmi audio? is that even a possibility? running the rca audio in addition to hdmi is sometimes a pita

  • Re: Playmaker and Masterlink - again

[quote user="zuegers07"] Dear all I have a BS 9000 that works perfectly fine, plus a Mac Mini feeding digital music into the system via BeoPort. I acquired the Playmaker a) for curiosity and b) to enable my girls to stream iPhone-Music to the system without complication. Playmaker feeds into BS 9000 via A.AUX. It is just so much easier than uploading their music to the Mac Mini first (and actually I am quite glad some of their music remains on their devices and does not get to the central
