  • Re: How to reduce the treshold on beolab 50?

Thank you all for your answers and in the end the solution was much simpler than I expected. As I wrote in my original post I figured out that I had to reduce the treshold myself already. The problem was that when I clicked on the dbV number in the app I could not adjust it, but when I clicked on the words "Detect Treshold" a slider appears. I only found the latter out by accident today. Now I can adjust it so I am sure the problem will easily be solved by changing it. Thanks again for

My Beolabs 50 are driven by a Marantz SR8012. they are woken up by a teigger from the Marantz and kept alive when the soundlevel is above a certaun treshold in my Line in RCA of -53 dbV. unfortunately when I play soft background music the speakers detect no spund and go to sleep. I can read the level in the app but cannot change it to a lower treshold any help? thnx

  • Re: Beolab 50 won't install

Pffff it works again. I have connected the two speakers with a network cable not using the Powerlink connector, just the network connector. I have done a factory reset 3 times and finally it worked again. No idea what solved it but it took me the best part of an afternoon to solve everything Happy that it works again.

  • Beolab 50 won't install

I have a pair of Beolab 50's connected through RCA to my Marantz SR8012 amplifier. It worked well untill I wanted to do a mic calibration. The speakers stopped responding after I put the mic in. Ok, so I pulled out the mic but now I cannot get the speakers to work anymore. They do not play music and the app cannot find them either. Not even after 2 factory resets. Since I cannot find a proper setup manual I am wondering if you could help? This is what I have as a setup: - Connected the Master

  • Re: Beolab50 has big audio delay vs Beosound 8000 -Pls Help-

Sure, I got that. Thanks It can "only" be set to 10 meters and I found that actually putting it to 0 works best for me. I really do not know how it solved my issue but when I disconnected the center speaker from the system I get the desired sound, including nicely timed Atmos and Surround speakers. Since my Beolab 50's are only 2,5 meters apart, next to the TV (not too big a living room) I decided to take that loss and go without a center speaker.Maybe one day I will get a bright moment

Well I fixed it (kind of I guess). So it took 3 consecutive complete factory resets in order to finally get access to my Beolab50's. I created a new preset with the narrow beam and Latency set to Low. I reduced the level of the center speaker with -9dB and increased both Beolab 50's with +3dB. The delay is still there, all be it less noticeable then before.I wish I could set the latency per speaker through my Receiver (Marantz SR8012) in order to get everything pitch perfect but I am afraid

  • Cannot wake up my Beolab 50 through the app

It has worked before but now I just cannot connect to my Beolab 50's anymore. The app says it is waking the BL50's up but I cannot get to them. When I connect through the "products" entry, I get an error saying "We cannot reach your product". Even when they are playing. How can I reconnect without resetting everything? Thanks Peter

Thanks guys, you are probably very right on the Latency timing. I misinterpreted that (no native english speaker) so I probably have set it to a wrong level. Now if only I could get to my Beolab50's to change it The app says it is waking them up but it never succeeds. I tried it when they were off as well as when they were playing. I doublechecked the WiFi network but nothing sees to work. And it has worked before so it drives me nuts Can I just put a network cable in one of the 3 UTP ports and

  • Beolab50 has big audio delay vs Beosound 8000 -Pls Help-

I have a Marantz SR8012 with 2 Beolab50's en 2 Beosound 8000's connected through pre-out. The Beolab50's have a very significant audio delay vs the 8000's when in Dolby + or any other surround sound setting. I tried every setting in the AV Receiver but nothing helps. Any suggestions how to adjust it in the speakers perhaps? Many thanks Peter

  • Beolab 50 on wheels?

The Beolab 50's are quite big as we all know and the best sound quality can be achieved if they have a bit of breathing space on the back. Unfortunately my room is not extremely big and on normal use they are fine just almost against the back wall. But sometimes I want to go all the way and have them about a meter to the front. They are extremely heavy and I was wondering if I could place a small set of wheels underneath so I can roll them forward. But what will be the impact on the quality of
