• Re: Simplify the product range game! Reboot.

It has already been posted by Roger that a new TV to replace the BV7 should come next year. However the sizes indicated seem to point to more of a replacement for the BV4 85 / 103 than the current 7 sizes? B&O from the published reports is continues to bleed red ink. The dealers in Europe are suffering large turnover declines from news reports. Products must be eliminated to free up cash flow for all to survive. There are many on this form who think they could run B&O better the the current

  • Re: Beosystem 4 link options?

The speakers are shared between Beosystem 3 and audio system 9000. So either get rid of the BS9000 or buy the converter. Right now 90% of the audio I listen to is net radio thru a Beolink PC2 with link player. I love the ability to play that thru all my speakers zones.
Hi, the panel is still the same - just some different connections and the optional floor standing version. Both colours are now available :)
Will the new panel still work with the Beosystem 3? Just different cables?

  • Re: BeoStores

In 1996 the stores in the US featured peach colored walls, cherry wood product displays. and old lady art prints on the wall. It was not the store that drove a dramatic increase in sales that year. It was the launch of a single product that people lined up to purchase. The Beosound 9000. The product is always the hero! The Apple stores work because when you walk in the doors all you see are the products. The store is the background. Apple uses dramatic architecture for the outside to act as the carrot

  • Re: Panasonic confirms Plasma ends 2014

The only large format OLED currently are 55" and they are curved. Reviewers say this distorts the picture making the viewing experience less pleasant. Also OLED suffer from burn in like plasma and CRT. Currently these OLED screens are from LG and Samsung. B&O buys LCD from Samsung so maybe they would go for their OLED? More likely I would expect B&O to go for a 4K LCD screen. These now are made in 65" and 84" sizes by LG and Samsung and are flat. Samsung's 65" retails

  • B&O Aluminum finishing

Yesterday during the introduction of the new Apple Mac Pro a video was shown on the manufacturing which is all in the USA. The outer case is deep drawn aluminum. The whole process looks like they copied Bang & Olufsen's factory? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbWOQWw1wkM&sns=em

  • Re: Any news about the new beolabs

Big Mistake from B&O to change an Icon products like the BeoLab 8000 !! David Lewis was the best designer definitively.
you can see very good in the sneak preview screenshot with Mr. Cartney , while he's sitting the ALT lens remains way aboove his head. For what I know ALT tech. can only spread sound horizontally. so fail design to me. And many furnitures are even lower than this one here.
Even if they are wireless

  • Beogram 6000 4 channel questions

My Beogram has a switch on the rear. Is this a pre amp power switch? Factory installed or modification? There is a rotating dial on the bottom to set voltage 110, 220 or 240. I know this was standard for most B&O in the early 1970's. The unit seems to play thru my BeoSound 9000 without a pre amp while my Beogram 5500 has very low volume so I know the 5500 needs a pre amp. This is why I think the 6000 has a pre amp built in. The unit was purchased from the UK many years ago.

  • Re: Anyone knows what this plug is meant for on my BM6500

If you look at the pin layout on the plug it does not match either power link or tape/aux plugs. I am sure it would match the external IR receiver used on the VX 5000. This was for placing the system in a cabinet where it would not be seen. That is why it was a option.

  • Re: Beovision 11 & Beolab 14 offer
Maybe things are quiet for B&O or the BL14 isn't selling, hence the offer. Who knows. One thing is true, it's a kick in the teeth for someone who recently bought a BV11!
I think it is obvious from the financial statement B&O is have a very hard time selling TV's hence this offer. Whether the Beolab 14 is selling is hard to know?
